زَفاف بِالسُرور وَبِالتَهاني

تَهادَت لِلقُلوب بِهِ الأَماني

A wedding with joy and congratulations

Brought hopes to hearts and wishes

وَأَعرَب صادح الأَفراح عَمّا

بَناهُ الأنس مِن لَحن الأَغاني

And the herald of joy expressed what

Companionship built from the tune of songs

فَقُم نَجلو كُؤوس هَناً وَأنسٍ

فَما خبر المَسرّة كَالعيانِ

So rise, let us drink cups of delight and comfort

For the news of gladness is not like seeing

إِذا ما قيلَ عيد الفطر وَلّى

أَجبناً إِنَّ هَذا العيد ثاني

When it is said Eid al-Fitr has turned

We reply this Eid is a second one

زَفاف قَد تَلا آيات سَعد

فَخِلنا أَنَّها السَبع المَثاني

A wedding that recited verses of bliss

So we thought they were the seven doubles

زَفاف لِلحُسين أَخي المَعالي

زَها فَجَلا لَنا أَبهى المَعاني

A wedding for Hussein my eminent brother

It blossomed, so the most beautiful meanings appeared to us

فَطب وَاِطرَب وَدُم بِالسَعد وَاِهنأ

بِشَمس الخَدر يا قَمَر الزَمانِ

So congratulate and celebrate and let happiness continue

With the sun of al-Khadr, O moon of time

فَيا بُشراي إِذ بشّرت فيما

بِهِ المَولى المهيمن قَد حَباني

So congratulations as I have brought good news

Of what the Guardian Lord has granted me

بُيوتاً ينظم التاريخ مِنها

زَفاف بِالسُرور وَبِالتَهاني
