حافظ عَلى العَهد يا خَليلي

بَينَ الأَخلّاءِ وَالأَحِبَّه

بَينَ الأَخلّاءِ وَالأَحِبَّه

Keep faith with the covenant, O my dear friend,

amid brotherhood and those we love.

وَكُن عَلى البُعد وَالتَداني

وَكُن عَلى البُعد وَالتَداني

مُتّصل الودّ وَالمَحبَّه

مُتّصل الودّ وَالمَحبَّه

Whether far apart or drawing near, remain

bound by unbroken affection and love.

فَحبَّةٌ مِن وِداد خلٍّ

فَحبَّةٌ مِن وِداد خلٍّ

تَنبت في القَلب أَلف حَبَّه

تَنبت في القَلب أَلف حَبَّه

For my seed, born of my dear friend’s affection,

sprouts a thousand seeds within the heart.
