O beauty of literature's garden that is

An amusement for sights and minds

The forefathers of literature excelled in poetry

    Composing like the prime compositions

Without doubt, poetry is the mark of eminence

And intellect the best of God's gifts

    Alexander learned wisdoms not known

    Even to the sage Luqman

And showed the nobles each virtue

That gladdens the hearts of nobles

To the extent that though they passed away

And all things pass, they won eternity

So theirs is the bliss of the eternal in a garden

    With every luscious fruit paired
