1. الحَمد لِلّه أَتمّ الحَمد

    عَلى اِتِّصال حَبل هَذا الودِّ

    Praise be to Allah, perfect praise

    For the joining of the cord of love

  2. ثُمّ صَلاة اللَه بِالتَسليم

    لِمَن رَقى أَسمى سَما التَعظيمِ

    Then prayer and peace upon Allah

    To the one exalted, highest praise subliming

  3. مَحمّد خَير الوَرى المُختار

    وَآله وَصَحبه الأَخيارِ

    Muhammad best of creation, the Chosen One

    And his family and companions, the virtuous

  4. الحافِظين حُرمة الوِدادِ

    وَالواصِلين ذمّة العِبادِ

    Protecting the sanctity of affection

    Fulfilling their covenant with mankind

  5. دامَت عَلَيهم سُحب الرضوان

    تهمي بِمنهلِّ الحَيا الهتّانِ

    Upon them be clouds of God’s pleasure

    Quenching thirst at the spring of exalted life

  6. ما رنّحت نَسائم الأَشواق

    غُصن فُؤاد العاشق المُشتاقِ

    As long as the breezes of yearning blew

    Stirring the heart’s branch, ardent and enamored

  7. أَو صَدحت حَمائم الأَشجان

    في رَوض قَلب المُدنف الوَلهانِ

    Or the doves of melancholy cooed

    In the garden of a fervent, passionate heart

  8. وَبَعد فَالوَسيلة السَنيّه

    وَالباعث المبلّغ الأُمنيّه

    And so this revered, auspicious means

    Motivating messenger, source of hopes

  9. لَنا بِنَظم هَذِهِ العجاله

    في سلك طرس هَذِهِ الرِساله

    For us, composing with haste

    In the thread of this epistle’s text

  10. أَنّي اِنتَشَقت نَسمة التَحيّة

    مِن الصَديق خالص الطَويّه

    I send sincere greetings

    From a loyal friend, pure of fealty

  11. بَدر التُقى وَكَوكَب الأَصحاب

    وَنجم أُفق السادة الأَنجابِ

    Full moon of piety, polestar of companions

    Star of the finest gentlemen’s horizon

  12. مُحمّد اِبن الذئب ذي الأَفضال

    مَن حازَ أَبهى شَرَف الخِصالِ

    Muhammad Son of Wolf, of boundless merit

    Attaining most ennobling traits

  13. لَمّا أَتى كِتابه النَفيسُ

    بِما بِهِ تَبتَهج النُفوسُ

    When his exquisite writ arrived

    Gladdening souls thereby

  14. لِلشَهم إِبراهيم ذي الآدابِ

    خُلاصة الإِخوان وَالأَصحابِ

    Bringing to mind the eloquent missives

    Their wonderful face revealed

  15. مَن اِرتَدى بحلل الكَمالِ

    حَتّى غَدَت تَسمو بِهِ المَعالي

    Long have their subtle meanings

    Captivated this yearning soul

  16. رَضيع ثَدي الفَضل وَالعرفان

    دام بِحفظ الواحد المَنّانِ

    Beholding its form, beloved salutation

    Reviving the heart of this smitten youth

  17. وَعِندَما تَلاه لي ذا المَولى

    وَجرَّ مِن إِحسانِهِ لي ذَيلا

    Woven into it, the epistle’s replies

    Adorned with friendship’s jeweled necklace

  18. أذكرني رَسائل البَديع

    إِذ أَسفَرَت عَن وَجهِها البَديعِ

    Conveying greetings of affection

    To the sincere friend of untainted traits

  19. فَطالَما شَنّف سَمع العاني

    بَديعه بدرر المَعاني

    And likewise to the peerless imam

    Al-Qadiri, luminescent full moon of glory

  20. وَحينَما عايَنت طرس الحُبِّ

    حَيّا فَأَحيا قَلب هَذا الصَبِّ

    I mean our erudite master

    Whose excellence monuments acclaim

  21. وَاِنتَظَمت فَرائد الجَواب

    في سلك عقد جيد ذا الكِتابِ

    Full moon of guidance, sun of supreme knowledge

    Jewel in the crown of rigorous minds

  22. أَودَعتهُ قَلائد التَحايا

    إِلى الصَديق طاهر السَجايا

    Noble among the virtuous and wise

    Preceding all in merits’ race

  23. وَمِثلها إِلى الإمام الأَوحَد

    القادري الزغبيّ بَدر السُؤددِ

    May his days boast of him

    Each era prides itself on the exalted

  24. أَعني بِهِ أُستاذَنا العَلّامة

    مَن شيّد الفَضل بِهِ أَعلامه

    Likewise to the guardian of Sacred Law’s sanctuary

    Impregnable by his eminence

  25. بَدر الهُدى شَمس سَما التَحقيق

    دُرّة تيجان ذَوي التَدقيقِ

    Full moon, ensign of scholars

    Whose judgments guide rulers

  26. نَجيب أَهل الفَضل وَالعرفانِ

    مَن حازَ سَبق قصب الرِهانِ

    One whose noble name I dare not utter

    For he is graced with honor

  27. دامَت بِهِ أَيّامُنا تباهى

    كُلّ زَمان برَفيع الجاهِ

    Especially the noble, pedigreed patron

    Scholarly practitioner, full moon of merit

  28. كَذا إِلى حامي حِمى الشريعة

    وَمَن بِهِ قَد أَصبَحَت مَنيعَه

    Our refuge, Abdel Ghani Rafii

    Eloquent author of prolific treatises

  29. بَدر سَماء العلما الأَعلام

    وَمُقتدي الحكّام بِالأحكامِ

    And matchless in this age

    The valiant Abdullah, I mean An-Nasri

  30. مَن لا أَفوه باِسمه الكَريم

    لِأَنَّهُ قَد خُصَّ بِالتَكريمِ

    And to the most honored, cherished friend

    Full moon of piety, Umar Effendi At-Tilli

  31. لا سيما المَولى الكَريم الأَصل

    العالم العامل بَدر الفَضلِ

    And Sheikh Abdel Qadir Al-Husseini

    And eminent, lofty Hussein At-Tadmuri

  32. مَلاذُنا عَبد الغَنيِّ الرافعي

    العمريّ ذُو المَقال البارعِ

    And others named by this supplicant

    And all who love to listen

  33. وَهَكذا وَحيد هَذا العَصر

    الشَهم عبَد اللَه أَعني النَصري

    And all who ask about my state

    Or seek the Exalted Threshold

  34. وَلِلصَديق الأَكرَم الأَجلِّ

    بَدر التُقى عُمر أَفندي التلّي

    I hope you’ll overlook my inadequacies

    Still falling short of your nobility

  35. وَالشَيخ عَبد القادر الحُسيني

    وَالتَدمُريِّ ذي العُلا حسينِ

    For it was written hastily

    In a moment too brief

  36. وَصنوه سَميّ هَذا الداعي

    وَكُلّ مَن يَعشَق بِالسَماعِ

    You remained in the clarity of my intimacy

    As long as the musk seal of this epistle lingered

  37. وَكُل مَن يَسأل عَن أَحوالي

    أَو مَن يَلوذ بِالجَناب العالي

  38. وَأَرتَجي الإغضاء عَن قُصوري

    لا زِلت مِن عزّك في قُصورِ

  39. لِأَنَّهُ سُطِّر بِاِستعجال

    في بُرهة تَقصر عَن مَجالِ

  40. فَلا بَرحتم في صَفاء أُنسي

    ما فاحَ مسك خَتم هذا الطرسِ
