1. راحَ ساقي الراح يَجلو القَدَحا

    فَاِجتل البكر وَدَع مَن قَدحا

    The cupbearer went to quench thirst with the cup,

    So enjoy life and leave those who find fault.

  2. وَاِنتَهز فُرصَة إِسعاف المُنى

    بِالهَنا الدائم وَاِهجر مَن لَحا

    Seize the chance to attain your wishes,

    With constant joy, and abandon those who mock.

  3. وَاِغتَنم لَذّة عَيش طالَما

    نَحوَها طَرف المَعالي طَمحا

    Enjoy the pleasures of life that you've longed for,

    The eyes of the noble have aspired to this goal.

  4. وَإِذا دارَت كؤوس الأنسِ كُن

    بَينَ أَكواب الطلا قطب الرَحى

    When the cups of joy circle around,

    Be the pole around which the millstone turns.

  5. حَبَّذا رَوضة لَهو أَينَعَت

    وَشَذا زَهر سُرور نَفحا

    How lovely is the garden of joy in full bloom!

    The fragrant flower of happiness blows gently.

  6. وَهزار السَعد في دَوح الهَنا

    صَدع الحاسد لَمّا صَدَحا

    The jesting of bliss in the bosom of joy

    Has cracked open the envious though he made no sound.

  7. وَلَيالٍ أَشرَقَت أَقمارُها

    نَجح القَلب لَها إِذ جَنَحا

    Nights whose moons have shone brightly

    Bringing joy to the heart when they set out.

  8. بَلَغت نَفس المعنّى فَرَجاً

    وَسَقَت روح المهنّى فَرَحا

    The soul attained the heights of meaning and gave

    The spirit of purpose something to celebrate.

  9. صاحِ بادر إِنَّ طَير الأنس قَد

    صاحَ وَالدَهر مِن السُكر صَحا

    Cry out! The bird of joy has trilled!

    The ages are drunk and cry out with elation.

  10. وَاِركَب الحَزم إِلى نَيل المُنى

    وَرُضِ العَزم إِذا ما جَمَحا

    Take hold of resolve and attain your wishes,

    Submit to determination if difficulties arise.

  11. وَإِذا ما سَمح الدَهر بِها

    فَاِقتنص مِن صَيدِها ما سَنَحا

    And if time allows,

    Seize the opportunity to hunt whatever presents itself.

  12. وَلِرايات التَهاني اِنشُر عَلى

    هامة المَجد إِذا نادى الوَحى

    Unfurl the flags of celebration over

    The noble party when destiny calls.

  13. وَاِهد أَبكار التَهاني لحمى

    سادة نَحوهمُ المَجد نَحا

    Bestow the first fruits of celebration on the protector

    Of the nobles, glory moves towards them.

  14. هُم بَنو الغندور أَرباب التُقى

    آل فتحِ اللَه نَسل الصُلحا

    They are the Ghandur family, patrons of piety,

    The house of Fathallah, progeny of reconciliation.

  15. سيما سامي السَجايا مُصطَفى

    مَجدهم ذاك الهمام المُنتَحى

    Especially the sublime chief Mostafa,

    Their glory, that respected leader.

  16. ماجد فاقَ عَلى أَقرانه

    بِمَزايا فَضلها قَد وَضحا

    Majid who surpassed his peers

    In superior qualities, clearly apparent.

  17. قامَ بِالتَقوى بِها متَّزرا

    وَحَوى اللطفَ بِهِ مُتَّشِحا

    He was clothed in piety, wrapped in kindness,

    Each of his descendants emulated him and succeeded.

  18. وَاِقتَفى أَنجالهُ آثاره

    وَبِذاك القَصدِ كُلٌّ نَجحا

    The beauty of his deeds ascended

    To a nobility that defied those who praised him.

  19. وَتَسامى حسن الأَفعال في

    شَرفٍ عزَّ عَلى من مَدحا

    O what a Majid, honouring the exalted

    With justice in the scales, outweighing all.

  20. يا لَهُ مِن ماجد زانَ العُلى

    بنهىً قسطاسها قَد رَجَحا

    Noble qualities that no one attained,

    By God, except as profit.

  21. شيم طابَت وَما مِن أَحَدٍ

    نالَها وَاللَه إِلّا ربحا

    How often their call removed our troubles,

    Banishing affliction and relieving hardship.

  22. كَم بِناديهم لَنا نادى الهَنا

    فَنَفى عَنّا العَنا وَالتَرَحا

    At their noble door how often we recited

    The verse of victory, an auspicious opening.

  23. وَعَلى باب عُلاهُم كَم تَلا

    آية الفَتح لَنا مفتتحا

    O honoured ones, congratulations!

    God has granted you that which He has granted.

  24. أَيُّها السادَة هنّئتم فَلقَد

    منحَ اللَه لَكُم ما مَنَحا

    With the marriage of the brilliant moon

    Whose beauty eclipsed the moons.

  25. بِزَفاف القَمر الزاهي الَّذي

    حُسن أَقمار الدَياجي فَضَحا

    A moon, if the full moon glimpsed

    Its face one dark night, it would shine brightly.

  26. قَمر لَو لَمح البَدر سَنا

    وَجهه لَيلَةَ تمٍّ لَمَحا

    That is Saad al-Din, and the world with him too,

    His name has proven true to its meaning.

  27. ذاكَ سَعد الدين وَالدُنيا مَعا

    وَالمُسمّى لاِسمه قَد صَلحا

    Send him our eternal congratulations,

    And may he always have cause for joy.

  28. فَاِهدهِ مِنّا التَهاني سرمداً

    وَليكن دَوماً بِها مُنشَرِحا

    May this marriage be the best of unions,

    With doors of blessings opened by God.

  29. وَليَكُن خَير زَفاف بِالمُنى

    بابه اللَه عَلَيهِ فَتحا
