  1. إِلهي بِتَقديس النُفوس الذَكيّة

    وَتَشريفها بِالحَضرة الأقدسيّةِ

    O my God, by sanctifying keen souls

    And honoring them with the most sacred presence,

  2. وَتَمحيصها بَعدَ الفَناءِ إِلى البقا

    وَتَجريدها مِن عالم البَشَريّةِ

    And purifying them after annihilation into eternity,

    And freeing them from the world of humanity,

  3. أَزل عَن فُؤادي ما أُقاسي مِن العَنا

    وَجُد لي بِجود الراحَة الأَكرَميّةِ

    Remove from my heart what troubles I endure

    And grant me the comfort of Your most generous grace,

  4. وَلا تَمتَحنّي يا إِلهي بِشدَّةٍ

    فَإِنّي قَليلُ الصَبر عِندَ البَليّةِ

    And do not test me, O my God, with hardship,

    For I have little patience in adversity.
