1. أَنسايمُ الأَحباب مِن رَوض الحِمى

    وافَت بريّاها الَّتي تروي الظَما

    The breezes of loved ones from the meadow of ambition

    Came to its pastures that nourish ecstasy

  2. سَلها أَأَودع طَيّها نَشر الهَنا

    بشراً لِيَنشُره السُرور بِما نما

    Ask it - did it leave its folds blooming with joy

    To spread good news of what has flourished?

  3. تِلكَ الأَشائر وَالبَشائر لِلمَلا

    بِقُدوم شَمس العارِفين مكرَّما

    These are the signs and tidings for the Master

    With the arrival of the sun of the Gnostics, honored

  4. الوارث المَجد المُؤثّل وَالتقى

    عَن سادة شَرَف الخِصال لَها اِنتَمى

    The heir of glorious lineage and piety

    From the masters of noble traits she descends

  5. ذاكَ الَّذي ذاعَت مَناقِبُهُ فَما

    كلّفتُ قطُّ إِلى تَعدّدها فَما

    The one whose virtues have spread, so I have never

    Bothered to enumerate them, for they are countless

  6. نَجم الحَقيقة بِدر أُفق سَما الهُدى

    شَمس الطَريقة حَيث كانَ لَها سَما

    The star of truth, the full moon on the horizon of guidance

    The sun of the spiritual path wherever it has an orbit

  7. أَكرِم بِهِ من قادمٍ بِقُدومهِ

    أَضحَت لها فرص التَهاني مَغنَما

    Honor the one arriving with his coming

    For opportunities to congratulate became profitable

  8. أَهدى المَسَرَّة لِلقُلوب فَحَبَّذا

    تِلكَ الهَديّة لَم تُغادر مُسلما

    He brought joy to hearts, so excellent

    Was that gift, leaving no Muslim deprived

  9. لِلّه كَم ورقاء في وَرَقٍ شَجَت

    فَنَنَ الغُصون تَفَنّناً وَتَرنّما

    By God, how many tender leaves on branches swayed

    The boughs gloriously sang and hummed

  10. مَغَنى شَجاني مِنهُ شجو حمامِهِ

    طَرَباً وَبَرَّح بِالنَسيم فَهينما

    The melody of his love-lorn singing like a dove

    Enchanted, and the breeze exhilarated, aroused desire

  11. عَجَباً أراض لَها الهَنا رَوض المُنى

    فَتَوَسَّمَت نَيل الأَماني مَوسِما

    Wondrously, joy made the meadow, the place of wishes

    Anticipate attaining what is hoped for in its season

  12. ظَفرت بِما ظَفر الكِرام بِهِ عَلى

    رَغم اللئام ترفّهاً وَتَنعّما

    It attained what the noble attained, despite

    The vile's arrogance and indulgence

  13. ماذا عَلَينا أَن نَقوم بِشُكر ما

    منَّ الإله بِهِ وَجادَ وَأَنعَما

    What is upon us but to thank what

    God has granted, given, and blessed?

  14. إنّا لِنَأبى أَن يَكون أَبا الثَنا

    إِلّا أَبو النَصر اِبن أَكرَم مَن سَما

    We refuse for any but Abu Al-Nasr ibn the Most Noble

    To be the object of our praise

  15. لِلمَجد يا بَيت الكَرامة وَالهُدى

    وَالعلم إنّ حماكمُ أمسى حِمى

    Glory, O House of Generosity, Guidance

    And Knowledge - your protector has become a sanctuary

  16. شرف عَلى شَرَف يَزيد وَلا اِنبَرى

    برحاً بِهِ الشَرَف الرَفيع مخيّما

    An honor above honor that increases but does not manifest

    With it the lofty honor solemnly endowed

  17. يا أَيُّها المَولى الَّذي أَمسى لَنا

    ذُخراً عَلى مَرّ الزَمان وَمُنتمى

    O Master whom for us has become

    A treasure over the bitter days, and attached to

  18. خُذها فديت فَريدة عَذراء ما

    أَعدَدتها إِلّا لعزّك محرَما

    Take it, my ransom, a unique chaste girl

    That I have prepared for none but your honor

  19. مَن لي بِأَن تَحظى بِلَثم يَديك يا

    شَمس الكَمال تَقنّعاً وَتَلثّما

    Who can grant that your hand, O sun of perfection

    Will favor it with a kiss, wearing it and tasting it

  20. حَتّى يَكون لَها الفَخار عَلى السوى

    شَرَفاً وَتَمنحها القُبول تَكرّما

    So that over others it will have pride

    And your acceptance will give it nobility

  21. ما خلتها إِلّا نَتائجَ مَنطق

    صَدَقت بِحَمدك تالياً وَمقدّما

    I composed nothing but results of truthful speech

    Praising you in succession and in preamble

  22. دَلَّت عَلى خَير القُدوم وَإِنَّهُ

    أَضحى لِأَفئدة الأَحبّة مَرهَما

    Indicating the best arrival, which has become

    A salve for the hearts of loved ones

  23. أَمَلٌ تَأَخَّر عَهدهُ مِن سَيّدٍ

    سادَ الأَواخر بِالنهى فَتَقَدَّما

    A hope long delayed from a master

    Who excelled the latter ones in guiding, so preceded

  24. بِتنا نُراقب مِنهُ طَلعةَ ماجِدٍ

    أَنوارُها تَمحو الظَلام المُظلِما

    We observe from him the rising of a glorious one

    Whose lights erase the darkest darkness

  25. وَإِذا بَدا نور الصَباح نَخالهُ

    وَجه المَلاذ وَلا نَخال توهّما

    And when the light of dawn appears we see it as

    The face of refuge, and nothing else we imagine

  26. أُمُيمُّماً عَلياه مُقتَديا بِهِ

    أَنعمت بِالبَحر الخضم تَيمّما

    Thirstily longing for it, following its example

    I attained the abundant sea, fully quenched

  27. لا تنحُ إِلّا نَحوَ رفعة قَدرِهِ

    فَاِخفض بِها قَدر الحَواسد وَاِجزما

    Incline toward nothing but raising his worth

    And debase the status of enviers, decisively

  28. نادٍ يُنادي بِالرَشاد وَغَيره

    بِالغيِّ ناداه الزَمان مُرَخّما

    Calling to guidance while others call to vain desire

    The times called him, subdued and humble

  29. صرفت لِنَحو بَديع لُطف بَيانه

    دُرر المَعاني عقدها فَتَنظَّما

    Diverting toward an exquisite subtlety, his eloquence

    Strung pearls of meanings, systematically adorned

  30. روح المجالس رَوح كُلّ مجالسٍ

    لَو كلّم الحَجر الأَصّم تكلّما

    Spirit of gatherings, spirit of all gatherings

    Even if it addressed the deaf rock, it would speak

  31. أَو لَو رَأَى اليَوم العَبوس بَشاشَةً

    من وَجهِهِ لَكَ بالسُرور تَبَسَّما

    Or if it saw a gloomy day's cheerfulness

    From its face, it would make you smile in delight

  32. فاِسعد بِجدّك أَو بجدّك أَيُّها ال

    مَولى المُعَظّم منجداً أَو مُتهما

    So be joyous in your grandfather, O Master

    Revered, praised or blamed

  33. نُهدي إِلَيكَ ثَنا الهَنا بِمَودَّةٍ

    ما إِن دَعاها البُعد أَن تَتَصَرّما

    We dedicate our joy to you in affection

    That when separated, regret did not make it whither

  34. دامَت عَلَيكَ سَوابغ النِعَم الَّتي

    مِنوال عزّك نَسجها قَد أَحكَما

    May the perfect blessings continue upon you

    That the pattern of your might wove firmly

  35. يَسمو بِها الجاه الرَفيع وَلا اِنبَرى

    يَكسو شَمائلك الطِراز المعلما

    With it lofty glory rises but does not manifest

    Adorning your features, the crafted splendor
