  1. يا من يغيث المستغيث

    إن لم تغثنا من يغيث

    O You who helps those seeking aid,

    If You do not help us, who can help?

  2. وما لنا ربٌّ مغيث

    سواك يا ربّ العباد

    We have no other Lord as helper,

    Except You, O Lord of all servants.

  3. فينا صغار رضّعُ

    فينا شيوخٌ ركّعُ

    Among us are little children suckling,

    Among us are old men kneeling.

  4. كذا بهايم رتّعُ

    وأنت للكلّ مراد

    So too beasts grazing,

    Yet to all, You are the sole intent.

  5. إن كنت غيث الطايعين

    فمن يغيث المذنبين

    If you are the rain for the obedient,

    Then who rains on the sinners?

  6. رحمة خير الراحمين

    مطلقة بلا قياد

    The mercy of the Best of the merciful

    Is unconditional, unrestrained.

  7. يا ربّ قلت استغفروا

    ربَّكمُ فيغفرُ

    O Lord, You said "Ask forgiveness

    From your Lord and He'll forgive."

  8. يأتي السحاب الممطرُ

    يروي العباد والبلاد

    The rain-laden clouds will come

    Watering Your servants and lands.

  9. رحمة ربّي وسعت

    لكلّ شيءٍ جمعت

    The mercy of my Lord encompassed

    Everything gathered.

  10. عاداتها ما انقطعت

    ولم تنزل في الازدياد

    Its ways never disrupted

    Nor ceased from increasing.

  11. إن كان لا يرجو عطاك

    إلّا المطيع إلى هداك

    If none hopes for Your gift

    Except those obedient to Your guidance,

  12. بمن يلوذ من عصاك

    أنت لمن قد ضلّ هاد

    In whom can those seek refuge

    Who have strayed from You, O Guide?

  13. يا ربّ عاملنا بما

    أنت له أهلٌ كما

    O Lord, treat us however

    You are most deserving, as

  14. عوّدت هذا كرما

    عبيد جودك يا جواد

    You've accustomed such bounty.

    Your servants, O Most Generous.

  15. جهد البلا حلّ بنا

    ضاق الفلا من كربنا

    The affliction of trials has befallen us.

    Distress has narrowed us.

  16. وكلّ ذا من ذنبنا

    وهو الّذي طمس الفؤاد

    All this is due to our sins,

    Which veiled the heart's perception.

  17. فيا كريم الكرما

    ويا رحيم الرحما

    So O Most Bounteous of the bounteous,

    And O Most Merciful of the merciful,

  18. أفض أفض غيث السما

    في الأرض فهي لنا مهاد

    Rain down, rain down the heavenly rain

    On the earth - it is where we rest.

  19. بالمصطفى جد يا كريم

    فهو الرؤوف بنا الرحيم

    The intercession of Mustafa, his grandfather, O Bounteous One,

    For he is most kind and merciful toward us.

  20. من كان في العلم القديم

    منه الوجود مستفاد

    From the ancient knowledge,

    Existence itself emanates.

  21. صلّى عليه الله ما

    غيث السماء انسجما

    May Allah send blessings on him

    As long as heavenly rain flows,

  22. وقد هما فعمّما

    كلّ الأباطح والوهاد

    And both continue to encompass

    Every plain, hill, and valley.

  23. وآله وصحبه

    ورهطه وحزبه

    And on his Family and Companions,

    His and their followers and party -

  24. فهم غيوث سحبه

    للخلق في نهج السداد

    They are rains of his clouds

    Guiding creation aright.
