جملي يا قدرة الله العظيم العلي

واشملي بالبرّ والإحسان والفتح الجلي

My sentences, O God's great supreme power

And include goodness, benevolence and clear conquest

معدماً حتّى يرى بين كرام الحمى

منعّماً يروي بفيض الفضل أهلَ الظما

Impoverished until he sees among the honorable sanctuary

Prosperous, quenching the people of protection with an abundance of grace

حسبما يخبره الظنّ الّذي قد نما

فادخلي به بروج الفلك المعتلي

As conjecture, which has grown, informs him

So take him into the exalted celestial mansions

واعتلى على السماك الشامخ الأعزل

وارحمي صبابة المتيّم المغرم

And rise above the proud, bare sky

And have mercy on the enamored blameworthy one

من رُميٍ بنبل ألحاظ الرشا المتهم

مدنفاً أصبح لا يحمل حرّ الجفا

Who was struck by the arrows of suspicious glance

Becoming estranged, not bearing the heat of estrangement

والصفا من قلبه أصفى ورب الصفا

قد عفا صبراً وليت الحبّ عنه عفا

And purity from his heart is the purest, and the Lord of Purity

Has forgiven, patiently, if only love would pardon him

فاحملي عنه جبال العذل والعذل

واسألي له التفات الشادن الأكحل

So carry for him mountains of affection and affection

And ask for the glance of the dark-eyed gazelle

سيّدي مَن خدّه لا زال كالورد الندي

مسعدي طه الّذي منه الورد تجتدي

My master, one whose cheek is still like tender rose

My joy, Taha, from whom the rose springs

مفصحاً يخجل بالأنوار شمس الضحى

موضحاً به ظلام الجهل عنّا انمحى

Articulate, bashful before the lights of the morning sun

Clarifying through him the darkness of ignorance from us faded

من نحا حماه لن يبرحا أو يمنحا

لذ لي تمداحه كالقرقف السلسل

One who protested protecting him will not move or flinch

The pleasure of praising him is like a long necklace

فاجْلُ لي أوصافه الحسنى ولا تبخل

أقبل إلينا صادقا

So manifest his good traits to me and do not be stingy

Welcome to us, truthful

وبعهدنا كن واثقا

نسقيك كأساً رائقا

And be confident in our covenant

We serve you a pleasing drink

صرفاً تصفّى من كدر

سلمى السحاري تنجلي

Pure distillation from turbidity

My Salma al-Sahhari appears

في المشهد الأسني العلي

وقد تحلّت من حلي

In the most beautiful, highest view

And she has adorned herself with jewelry

عقد لآل ودررْ

يا حبّذا ذاك الجمال

A necklace of pearls and gems

How good is that beauty

الحاوي لأنواع الكمال

قد جلّ حسناً عن مثال

Containing all kinds of perfection

Transcending the example in beauty

وعزّ عن درك البصرْ

فانهض وجرّد همما

And surpassing the sight's grasp

So get up and prepare your worries

وللتداني يمِّما

وارتع بروضات الحمى

And head for approaching

And graze in the meadows of the sanctuary

واقطف بها ذاك الثمرْ

وغب بوجدٍ عن وجود

And pluck its fruit there

And be ecstatic with passion about existence

وطب إذا طاب الشهود

إنّ اللقا عذب الورود

And relax when the witness is good

Indeed, the meeting is sweet roses

فلا تكن ممّن صدرْ

فاحرم وزمزم واستلمْ

So do not be one who turned away

So forbid, and circumambulate, and submit

والكعبةَ الحسنا التزمْ

يا سعد عبدٍ قد غنمْ

And adhere to the Kaaba, beauty

O Saad, a happy slave who has gained

وحج شوقاً واعتمرْ

ما الكون يا ذا غيرُها

And pilgrimage in passion and repeat rituals

What is the universe, O the One without it

فادخل يعمَّك خيرُها

وإذا تغنّى طيرُها

So enter it, its goodness embraces you

And when its birds sing

أنساك ألحان الوترْ

إن رمت تدنو للطريق

Its melodies make you forget

If you intend to approach the path

باكر لنا تُسقَى العتيق

إنّ انتسابي للصديق

Come early, we will be served the old

Indeed, my affiliation with the Truthful

مصحّح وأنا عمرْ

Corrects and I am lifetime
