أقول لأهل اللهو والتيه والحجبِ

حذارِ حذارِ أن تموتوا على السلبِ

I say to the people of vanity, confusion, and veils

Beware, beware of dying while in loss

أينكَرُ ذكرُ الله جلّ جلاله

وفي محكم التنزيل نصٌّ لذي لبّ

How can the remembrance of God, most exalted is His majesty, be disliked?

And in the decisive revelation there is a clear text for the sensible

وكم من حديثٍ في شريعة أحمدٍ

وتمّ بنا الإجماع في العجم والعرب

And how many narrations are there in the law of Ahmad

And consensus was completed among us, in non-Arabs and Arabs

وذي سيرة الأصحاب والسلف الّذي

بهم يقتدي في الدين يا فاقد القلب

And the one with the conduct of the Companions and the predecessors whom

The religion is imitated from, O devoid of heart

هلمّوا بنا كي نذكر الله جملةً

وإلّا فكفّوا ألسُنَ العذل والعتب

Come with us so that we may remember God altogether

Otherwise refrain your tongues from blame and reproach

أخاف عليكم غارة الله إنها

لعمري بالمرصاد تقصم بالعضب

I fear for you a raid from God, it

By my life, lies in ambush, breaking with anger

ألا إن حزب الله مَن كان ذاكراً

وحزبُ رجيمٍ مَن يحيد عن القرب

Lo! The party of God is whoever remembers

And the party of the rejected devil is whoever deviates from nearness

وسوف ترون الأمر حقّا إذا بدت

سرائرُ كلّ الخلق في الموقف الصعب

And you will see the matter as truth when

The inner secrets of all people appear in the difficult situation

أما كان خير الخلق يذكُر ربَّه

جهاراً وسرّاً صحّ نرويه في الكتب

Was not the best of creation remembering his Lord

Publicly and privately, we relate it in the books

سلامٌ عليكم إن جهلتم خطابنا

وكلٌّ سيلقى في غدٍ أطيبَ الكسب

Peace be upon you if you are ignorant of our discourse

And everyone will face the finest earning tomorrow

ولسنا نحول الدهرَ عن ذكر ربّنا

قياماً قعوداً أو رقوداً على الجنب

And we do not turn away the age from remembering our Lord

Standing, sitting or lying on our sides

فإن شئتمُ سلماً لنا فسلامةً

وإن شئتمُ حرباً فنحن ذوو الحرب

So if you wish safety for us then greetings

And if you wish war then we are people of war

وليس يضيم الله جلّ عصابةً

بحضرته في الذكر تلهج بالحبّ

And God, most exalted, does not deny a group

In His presence remembering Him, ecstatic with love

كما في حديثٍ للبخاريّ مسندٍ

عن المصطفى المبعوث من قِبَلِ الربِّ

As in a narration of al-Bukhari, verified

From al-Mustafa, sent from the Lord

عليه صلاة الله ثمّ سلامه

وآلٍ مع الأصحابِ والرهطِ والحزب

Upon him blessings of God, then peace

And his family with the Companions and comrades and party
