في الأسما جمال الذات بادي

إذا سما تنجلي مذ حدا الحادي

حيناً لعيني بالحسن فيما بدا

ذات الخال تجلّت بالحسن تختال

هل شممتم ما جرى بأولى الندا

The mole revealed itself with beauty, being coquettish

Did you smell what happened with the first caller

ماذا الحال في هوى الغيد والبلبال

للشجيّ الهائم والأهوال ماذا شدا

What is the state in the love of the antelope and the nightingale

For the passionate wanderer and the terrors, what tied him

يا حنّان صبري خان هل أرى مطلوبي

يا ربّي كن لنا والطف بنا واجعل لحالي مرشدا

O gentle, my patience has betrayed me, will I see my beloved

O my Lord, be for us and have mercy on us and make for my state a guide

بالهوى والاهتدا والرشاد

بالحفا الدائم لمّا لاح كالمصباح للأرواح

All perfection contained and burning for the punisher

With eternal passion when it appeared like a lantern for souls

أحيا قلبي باللقا فارتقى حالي

مقاماً في الحبّ إيه إيه يا محبوبي ارفق بمن

It revived my heart with meeting, so my state rose

A position in love, eh eh O my beloved, be gentle with one

قد غدا هبا إذ عاف الوسن

صاح لا تفقد صحوي يمضي من ذي الراح على المدى
