مذ جئت مستنجداً في عزّ جاهك من

أراقمٍ في الحشا بالهمّ لسّاعهْ

Since I came seeking aid in your high glory from

Sleeplessness in the dark night with constant worry,

رأيت درياقك الراقي فزال به

ما كنت أشكو وولّى الهمّ في ساعهْ

I saw your gentle smile, and it did away

With all I suffered, and my cares fled in an hour.
