سلامٌ على الملحوظ في القرب والبعدِ

ومن عنده قلبي وصورته عندي

Greetings to the one noticed from near and far

And the one who has my heart while his image is with me

تحلّى بدرّ الصدق وهو الّذي دُعي

بنا صادقاً بل كان واسطة العقد

Adorned with the full moon of truthfulness, he who was called

Truthful with us, rather he was the knot's intermediary

ومذ كان منّي في جِنان الجَنان من

صفا خَلَدي بوّأتُه جنّة الخلد

And since he was for me in the gardens of gardens, with

Purity which immortalized my eternity, I lodged him in the garden of immortality

أتى الوارد الغيبيّ يبدي شهادةً

من المشهد القدسيْ المنزّه عن نِدّ

The unseen visitor came revealing a testimony

From the sacred witnessing place, protected fromEquals

يبشّرني عنه بأن قد بدا له

قريباً بآفاق العلا طالعُ السعد

Bringing me good news of him that soon

With the horizons of the Most High, the star of fortune will rise

وقد حكمت عين الشهود بأنّه

مع الأسد الضاري الممهّد للمهدي

And the eye of witnessing has ruled that he is

With the fierce lion, the one prepared for the Guided One

وإنّي به كالشمس في الكون أشرقت

وكالسيف ذي الحدّين سلّ من الغمد

And I through him in the universe shine like the sun

And like the double-edged sword, drawn from the scabbard

لعلّي أراه وارثاً كلّ رتبةٍ

من العزّ والإقبال بالفرض والردّ

Perhaps I will see him inheriting every rank

Of glory and favor by duty and grace

وفي عصره يستيقظ العدل في الورى

كما نام في أيّامنا نومة الفهد

And in his time justice will awaken in the world

As it slept in our days, the sleep of the panther

وكم بعدُ عندي في الضمير بشائرٌ

تجلّ عن التصريح بالعدّ والحدّ

And how much more in my conscience are tidings

That shine without expliciting by counting and limiting

بشائرُ كالأنوار لاح شعاعُها

ولكنّه يخفى عن الأعين الرُّمد

Tidings like lights whose rays have shone

But they are hidden from drowsy eyes

سحائب خيرٍ ترتجي الأرضُ غيثَها

يكون لها برقٌ يلوح بلا رعد

Clouds of goodness for which the earth awaits rain

Having lightning that flashes without thunder

فيا صادقاً لاحت بصفحة وجهه

دلائلُ صدقٍ منذ قد كان في المهد

So O truthful one, the signs of truthfulness

Appeared on the page of his face since he was in the cradle

وقد ظهرت لكن بعيد بشارتي

زمان اللقا مذ كان مورده وردي

And they appeared, though the time of my vision

Since it was my aspiration was still far

وها أنا ذا كم ذا أناجي المنى به

سُحيراً بعودٍ أحمدٍ عاد بالقصد

And here I am, speaking intimately about my wish

Bewitched by the return of Ahmad in intention

وأهتف حتّى هاتف الغيب قد بدا

شهوداً ينادي بالأماني وبالرغد

And shouting until the unseen caller began

Witnessing, calling for wishes and comfort

يقول تهيّأ للقبول مقابلاً

لنعمته بالشكر لله والحمد

Saying: "Prepare yourself for welcoming,

Repaying His blessing with gratitude to Allah and praise"

مدامة أنعام المرام مدامةً

عليك إذا ما كنت بالحفظ للعهد

Sipping the bounties of purpose, sipping

Continuously, as long as you keep true to the promise

وفي حفظه نيل المعالي بدولةٍ

تدوم دوام الأنس في بهجة الورد

And in keeping it, attaining the heights in a state

Lasting, lasting like the intimacy in the bliss of flowers

إليك التحايا الغرّ مقترنٌ بها

سلامٌ على الملحوظ في القرب والبعد
