The ambergris of generosity in the noses of the noble,
Its fragrance spread in Damascus, perfuming the breath,
The perfume from it scented the land of Damascus,
And its blossoms smiled in the garden at dawn,
A sea of virtue and an ocean of pearls, such
Are gifts and beautiful order,
The joy of glory shone on his face,
With dignity, awe and modesty,
Refined in nature and pleasing in company, so he became
A delicious spring of abundant crowds,
He is like the full moon appearing and disappearing
For an emergence that comes after concealment,
If the moon of the sky did not set it would not
Be awaited by the eyes of all people,
Lasting at the peak of glory in perfection
And joyful celebration and attaining a beautiful conclusion.
