1. God raised Ibrahim’s station.

    Through him He healed my sickness and cured my lovesickness.

  2. The heart is his dwelling, and through him it has become

    forever a garden and a delight for love.

  3. The cups of my companionship, filled with the wine of his love,

    shone forth, their mixture becoming Tasnim.

  4. I see him in my heart, sharing my cup, just as

    his memory has become my tongue’s companion.

  5. If the sight of him is absent from my eyes,

    I see him dwelling deep within me.

  6. This is the Station of Ibrahim, where

    the lover’s heart was shattered.

  7. This station stirred his longing, and the yearning

    heart murmured his name in exaltation.

  8. To him he made pilgrimage and fasted from all besides him;

    toward him he prayed with supplication and surrender.

  9. Ibrahim is in the heart, its intimate friend;

    through him, the Khidr of love became a confidant.

  10. He is the delight of the heart’s garden, which

    flew toward meeting him, rapt with longing.

  11. May a lover’s eye behold him, though its eyelid

    has grown sick from prolonged separation.

  12. Through him the garden of my inmost heart grows green upon

    meeting him, after separation had left it withered.

  13. My breast opens at the sight of a face

    like the full moon, complete in beauty.

  14. I see him in the lofty sphere of perfection,

    with the stars below Ibrahim’s station.

  15. There, voices within me cried out with glad

    tidings of a mighty rise in fortune.

  16. He will rise still higher in rank

    and attain great honor in the world.

  17. I said this because of a voice within my heart,

    not because I watched a star to tell fortunes.

  18. The astrologer lied, and so did the one who believed him;

    God, our Lord, is sufficient in knowledge.

  19. God will raise his standing and his station

    until even great fortune serves him.

  20. Through the order of his fortunate realm, which has become

    a singular necklace strung with blessings.
