إِن قيلَ ما أَرَدى الوُحوش كواسراً

وأَوانساً ممَّا بَرأ الخَلاقُ

If it is said what the beasts desire as prey

And companions from what the Creator originated

فمِنَ الكواسر ظالمٌ متغطرسٌ

ومن الأَوانسِ خادعٌ مَلَّاقُ

Then of the prey is an oppressive tyrant

And of the companions a fraudulent impostor
