1. إلى المَغاربِ تَسعَى الشَّمسُ والقَمَرُ

    فذاكَ فَخرٌ بهِ تَزهُو وتَفتَخِرُ

    The sun and moon hasten to the west

    One prides itself on this and boasts

  2. أرضٌ مُبارَكةُ الأقطارِ صالحةٌ

    إذا أتَى الرِّيحُ منها أقبَلَ المَطَرُ

    A blessed land of virtuous regions

    When the wind blows from it, rain pours down

  3. سل أرضَ مصرَ إذا ما جئتَ ساحتَها

    من أينَ فيضُ مياهِ النِّيلِ يُنتَظرُ

    Ask the land of Egypt when you come to it

    From where the water of the Nile is expected

  4. إن كان في مِصرَ نَهرٌ شابَهُ كَدَرٌ

    فضمِنَ تُونُسَ بَحرٌ ما بهِ كَدَرُ

    If there is a river in Egypt muddied

    Then Tunisia has a sea without turbidity

  5. هُوَ الوزيرُ الذي أضحَى يُشَدُّ بهِ

    أزْرُ الكرامِ ويُرجَى عِندَهُ الوَطَرُ

    He is the minister who has become the pillar

    Of the honorable and hope resides in him at dire times

  6. تَهْوي على ذَيلِهِ الأفواهُ لاثِمةً

    كأنَّهُ رُكنُ بيتِ اللهِ والحَجَرُ

    Wrongdoers’ mouths drip on his tail

    As if he were the pillar of God's house and its stone

  7. مُحمَّدُ الأحمَدُ المحمودُ نائلُهُ

    وسَعْيُهُ حيثُ يَرضَى اللهُ والبَشَرُ

    Muhammad the most praiseworthy, the lauded, its reacher

    And his striving is where God and mankind are pleased

  8. الباسِمُ الثغَرِ والأبطالُ عابِسةٌ

    والثابتُ القلبِ والأكبادُ تَنفطِرُ

    The smiling faced and the heroes frowning

    The steadfast of heart and livers that rupture

  9. إذا انتَضَى يوم حربٍ صارماً ذَكراً

    فلَيسَ أفتَكَ منهُ الصَّارِمُ الذَكَرُ

    When a day of battle arises, remembering sharply

    Then nothing is more deadly than it, the male reminder

  10. أعَزُّ شيءٍ عليهِ مَتْنُ سابحةٍ

    تَجرِي وأهوَنُ شيءٍ عندَهُ البِدَرُ

    The proudest thing to him is the deck of a ship sailing

    Flowing and the lowliest thing to him is the full moon

  11. مُؤَيَّدٌ بِيَمينِ اللهِ مُقتدرٌ

    يَرعَى العِبادَ بعينٍ نَومُها السَّهَرُ

    Supported by God’s right hand, omnipotent

    Shepherding the servants with an eye whose sleep is wakefulness

  12. لو لَمْ يكن صدرُهُ بحراً لما بَرزتْ

    لمشهدِ النَّاسِ من ألفاظِهِ الدُّرَرُ

    If his chest were not an ocean, there would not have emerged

    For people’s sight from his words the pearls

  13. كَرامةٌ في بِلادِ الغربِ مُشرِقةٌ

    ونِعمةٌ للرَّعايا ساقَها القَدَرُ

    An honor in the lands of the west shining

    And a blessing for the subjects brought by fate

  14. تُهدَى إليهِ القوافي وَهْيَ سافرةٌ

    مِن مَشرِقِ الأرْضِ يجلوَ وَجهْهَا السَفَرُ

    Rhymes are gifted to him while traveling

    From the east of the earth, its travel reveals its face

  15. يا ناسِخَ الظُّلمِ مِن أقطارِ دَولتِهِ

    كظُلمةِ الليل يمحو جِنْحَها السَحَرُ

    O eradicator of injustice from the regions of his state

    Like the darkness of night erased by dawn’s wing

  16. قد قُمتَ بالبِرِّ والعدلِ القويمِ بها

    كأنَّما أنتَ عبدُ اللهِ أو عُمَرُ

    You have stood by righteousness and upright justice through it

    As if you are the servant of God or Umar

  17. لَكَ التهانِي بما أوتيتَ من ظَفَرٍ

    بل للرَعايا التي أولَى بِها الظَفَرُ

    Congratulations to you for what you have attained in victory

    But for the subjects who were given victory by it

  18. أنَلْتُهمْ زَهرةَ الدُنْيا فكانَ لهُمْ

    عَرْفُ النَّسيمِ وفي الأُخرَى لَكَ الثَمَرُ

    You have granted them the flower of the life so for them

    Was the fragrance of the breeze and for you in the next are the fruits
