On the day of parting, the dove wept like Noah,

The morning coos with weeping lingered,

I said, do you weep for one with a collar, remembering,

Hudhail, after he passed away though he was not followed,

And I know why you don’t weep and you weep,

A widow cannot do but weep, what else can she do,

You did not see why you weep, leave what I see,

And guard what you weep for, while I waste away.
