1. وَاللَهُ ما يَدري امروء ذو جنابَه

    وَلا جار بيت ايُّ يَوميك أَجود

    None knows, man of dignity and grace

    Nor neighbor, which of thy days is best

  2. ايوم إِذا الفَيتَه ذا يَسارَة

    فَاِعطَيت عَفواً مِنكَ ام يَوم تُجهَد

    The day when thou art flush and freely give

    Or time when straitened, yet generous as the rest

  3. وَإِن خَليلَيكَ السَماحَة وَالنَدى

    مُقيمان بِالمَعروف ما دُمت توجد

    For friends of thine are bounty and virtue

    Ever-present while thou remain blest

  4. مُقيمان لَيسا تارِكيكَ لِخَلَّة

    من الدَهرِ حَتّى يُفقِدا حينَ تُفقَد

    Ever-present, and never leaving thee

    Till time deprive us when thou art at rest
