O Isaac Al-Samarah
O people who understood my words
He drank and drank and was refreshed
And lent this cup to his neighbor
A time will come when words make sense to him
And you'll see the young don borrowed clothes
I was never a minister
And will never head the ministry
But despite the universe's disdain
O son of the advisor
I will remain the epitome of piety
And live as the epitome of purity
My soul is like my cup, devoid
Of the filth of decadence
And people, I take pride in who I am
O people, Isaac Al-Samarah
With a long neck like a rooster's
Envied for its vitality
From the flowers of Gilead
And the one who raised that minaret
I quenched its thirst and it drank
And my soul was set ablaze
And that smoke I see
Has ignited into flames
So come where I stand
And beware the spark of fire
The paths we blazed
In fervent zeal
Were repaired by the celestial's grace
In the tavern of Isaac Al-Samarah
