قُلْ لإمامِ الزَّمَنِ

وفَرْدِ آلِ الْحَسَنِ

Tell the imam of the age

And the unique one of the family of Al-Hasan

أَقْبَلَتِ الرُّومُ فَما

بَقَاؤُنا في الْيَمَنِ

The Romans have come, so what is

Our stay in Al-Yemen

أما علمتَ أَنَّ آ

باءَكَ أهل الفطن

Don't you know that your

Fathers, people of insight

كانُوا إذا ما سمعوا

بالرُّومِ أيّ مَوْطِنِ

Whenever they heard

Of the Romans in any place

قامُوا لِذا وَهَجَروا

أَهْلِيهمُ وَالوَسَنِ

They stood up for that and abandoned

Their families and intimacy

وشحَنُوا خُصُومَهُمْ

في عالِياتِ الْقِنَنِ

And they moved their opponents

To the high mountain passes

وَرَتَّبُوا الأَطْرافَ مِنْ

خَلْفِ الْقُرَى والْمُدُنِ

And they arranged the flanks from

Behind the villages and cities

فَقُمْ بِنَا مُبَادِراً

وارْحَلْ بِنا وَلا تَنِي

So stand up with us hastily

And travel with us and do not wait
