واللهِ لاأَسْأَلُ الإنْسَانَ عَنْ صِلَةٍ

قَدْ كَانَ عَوَّدَني في ماضِيِ الزَّمَنِ

I swear by God, I do not ask people about a relationship

That had accustomed me in the past of time

فالمُعْطِني اللهُ جَلَّ الله خالِقُنا

ما شَاءَ كَانَ وإنْ ما شَاءَ لَمْ يَكُنِ

So God, the Exalted, our Creator, gave me

What He willed was, and if He did not will, it was not
