1. عَلَى العالِمِ الْبَحْرِ خِدْنِ الْكَمالِ

    وحَاوِي الْخِلاَلِ الْجِلاَلِ الجزَالِ

    Peace upon the learned sea, repository of perfection

    Bearer of sublime majesty and bounty

  2. سَلاَمٌ يَفُوحُ بكُلِّ الْفُيُوحِ

    يُرَوّحُ رُوحَ الرّبا والتِّلالِ

    A peace that diffuses the sweetest fragrance

    To revive the soul and the hills

  3. سَلامٌ يَضُوعُ بكُلِّ الْفُيُوحِ

    يُعَطِّرُ أَيّامَها واللّيالِي

    A peace that pours out with the sweetest scents

    To perfume her days and nights

  4. يُنادِي بنادِيكُمُ جَهْرَةً

    يُحَيِّي مُحَيّاكُمُ بالتّوالِي

    Crying out your greetings loudly

    Reviving your welcome continually

  5. فَيَصْبو بِصَبْيا للُقْياكُمُ

    ويَجْتازُ جَازانَ جَوْزَ العِجالِ

    To alight as a child before you

    And traverse the thickets leaping with joy

  6. يُعَشْعِشُ في عُشَش الْمَكْرُماتِ

    وَيَسْرَحُ ما حَلَّ بَعْدَ الرِّحالِ

    To nest in the sanctuaries of the noble

    And roam wherever the caravans traveled

  7. ويُنْهي عِهادَ أَسِير الوِدَادِ

    حَلِيفِ سُهادِ اللّيالِي الطِّوالِ

    And end the covenant of the prisoner of affection

    Comrade of the prolonged nights of vigil

  8. إلَى رَاحِلٍ باخِلٍ باللّقا

    إلَى مُتْهمٍ مُنْهَمٍ بالْمَطالِ

    To a rider who hoards meeting

    To a yearner burning with longing
