1. إلَى مَتَى ذَا الهَمُّ والغَمُّ

    أمِثْلُ ذَا يُوجِبُهُ الحِلْمُ

    Until when, O heavy with woe

    Should one so wise bear patiently?

  2. وأَنْتَ عَبْدٌ تَحْتَ حُكْمِ القَضا

    لَيْسَ لَهُ في نَفْسِهِ حُكْمُ

    You but a slave, by fate controlled,

    Of your own self, are not the lord

  3. فَفَوِّضِ الأَمْرَ وكُنْ واثِقاً

    بِمَنْ لَهُ التَّدْبِيرُ والعِلْمُ

    So trust your fate; be well-assured;

    He knows and orders all.
