وَلَوْ كانَ لِي مِلءُ الْبَسيطَةِ أَلْسُنٌ
أُديمُ بها شُكْرِي لَما قُمْتُ بالشُّكْرِ
And if I had tongues filling the whole earth
I would spend them in gratitude, though I fell short
وكَيْفَ وقَدْ يَسَّرْتَ لِي كُلَّ مَطْلَبٍ
وأعْطَيْتَني من حَيْثُ أدْري ولا أدرِي
And how not, when You have made every desire easy
And granted me from where I know and where I don’t know
ونِلْتُ مِنَ الإحْسانِ مالَوْ أقَلُّهُ
يُوازِنُ قَدْرِي كانَ أكْثَر منْ قَدْرِي
And I attained favors whose least
Would equal my worth, yet are greater than me
