هَلْ لي إلَى هَجْرِهِمُ مِنْ سَبِيلْ

قَدْ كَدَّرَ الخاطِرَ قالٌ وقيلْ

Is there a way for me to abandon them

When gossip and rumors have troubled my thoughts

أَلْقاهُمُ والقَلْبُ في راحَةٍ

وأَنْثَني عَنْهُمْ بِكَرْبٍ طَوِيلْ

I left them though my heart is at peace

And turned away from them with lasting sorrow

يا رَبِّ قَرِّبْ بَيْنَنا بَيْنَنا

فَرُبَّ بَيْنٍ بَيْنَ قَوْمٍ جَميلْ

My Lord, bring us close, bring us close

For there is much beauty in the gathering of people
