يا حَبَّذَا كَلامُ

قَدْ صاغَهُ الأَعْلامُ

O what excellent words

Composed by the leaders

أَئِمَّةُ التَّحقِيقِ

وزُمْرَةُ التَّدْقيقِ

The imams of investigation

And the group of precision

وزِينَةُ الأَعْصارِ

وحَافِظو الأَسْفارِ

And the beauty of eras

And the keepers of books

مَنْ عِلْمُهُمْ قَدْ أَصْبَحا

بَيْن الأنَامِ صُبْحا

Whose knowledge has become

Among people an illumination

قدْ حَقَّقُوا الْفُنُونا

وأَبَرَزُوا المكْنُونا

They have verified the arts

And unveiled the hidden

وَشَفَوا العليلا

وأَرْوَوا الْغَلِيلا

And healed the sick

And quenched the thirsty

هُمُ وُجُوهُ الْيَمَنِ

هُمُ عُيُونُ الزَّمَنِ

They are the faces of Yemen

They are the eyes of the age

إن تَلْقَ مِنْهُمْ واحِدا

تَظُنَّ ذَاكَ السَّيّدا

If you meet one of them

You would think he is that master

فالحَمْدُ للمُهَيْمِنِ

أَوْجَدَ في ذا الزَّمَنِ

So praise be to the Overseer

Who brought in this time

لَنَا مِنَ الأَئِمّةِ

جُلاةَ كُلِّ ظُلْمَةِ

For us from the imams

Dispellers of every darkness

فَعادَ فَوْدُ الدَّهْرِ

أَسْوَدَ في ذَا الْعَصْرِ

So the happiness of the age

Returned the darkest in this era

وكانَ كالثَّغَامَهْ

مُذْ لَمْ يَجِدْ عَلامَهْ

And it was like the clouds

Since it did not find a sign

مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ قَدْ هَرِمَا

لفقد جيل العلما

After the perishing of the generation of scholars

And if you doubt

وإنْ تَشُكَّ فِيما

رَوَيتُه قَدِيما

What I have relayed from the past

Especially regarding the people of this time

في فَضْلِ أَهْلِ الزَّمَنِ

لا سِيَّما في الْيَمَنِ

And particularly those from Yemen

Then look at the card

فانْظُرْ إلى الْبِطاقَهْ

تَجِدْ بِها مِصْداقَهْ

You will find in it verification

And it is evidence

وأَنّها بُرْهانُ

يَحْصُلْ بهِ اطْمِئْنانُ

That brings about certainty

You will see in it views

تَرَى بها أَنْظارا

تَظُنُّها نُضَارا

That you would think are enlightened

But I have regarding some

لكِنَّ لي في الْبَعْضِ

بَحْثاً لَدَيّ مَرْضِي

An issue in my opinion

About those who preferred

عَلَى الذينَ رَجَّحُوا

أَبْعاضَها وصَحَّحُوا

And authenticated parts of it

And reconciling in this is possible

والْجَمْعُ في ذا مُمْكِنُ

وَهْوَ لَدَيَّ الأَمْكَنُ

And it is for me the more appropriate

So whatever is reconciled

فَذَاكَ مَهْما أَمْكَنا

فَهُوَ الذي يَلْزَمُنا

Is what obligates us

And it is without doubt

وَهْوَ بِلا تَشَكُّكِ

مُقَدَّمٌ في الْمَسْلَكِ

Given precedence in the path

The observers start with it

يَبْدا بهِ النُّظارُ

بِذَا قَضَى الأَخْبارُ

When the news is settled

And these principles

وهَذِهِ الأُصولُ

تَنْصُرُ ما أَقُولُ

Support what I say

Its books have become full

غَدَتْ بِهَذا مُفْعَمهْ

أَسْفارُهَا ومُعْلِمَهْ

Of its lessons and teachings

Not including something unacceptable

ما إنْ إخالُ مُنْكَراً

وسَلْ بذاكَ الأَخْبَرا

And ask those of knowledge

Never and no contenders

ومَنْ غَدا مُرَجِّحا

لِجَهْرِها مُصَحِّحا

In criticizing the reports

They are without confusion

وطرد ذا التّعما

إلى الصَّلاةِ العجما

The guides of people in this

And everyone with expertise

فَقَدْ غَدا مُطَّرِحَا

جَميعَ ما قَدْ صَحَّحا

Who has lengthened in it his arm span

Is with it the skilled one

أئِمَّةُ الْحَديثِ

مِنْ ذلِكَ الْحَديثِ

I have decided this

But we have gotten bored of reconciliation

وهُمُ أَولُو الصِّناعَةِ

وناقِدُو الْبِضاعَةِ

When we were devoid

Of the family of the best of messengers

ما إنْ لَهُمْ مُداني

واسْأَلْ ذَوي الْعِرفانِ

The role models of every perplexed one

The guides of every guided one

كَلاَّ وَلاَ مُمارِي

في النَّقْدِ للأَخْبارِ

They have authenticated reports

That support manifestation

هُمُ بِلا الْتِباسِ

في ذَا هُدَاةُ النّاسِ

Sometimes generalizing

And sometimes specifying

وكلُّ ذِي صِناعَهْ

طَوَّلَ فيها باعَهْ

Approaching fifty in number

And investigate, you will see certainty

فَهُوَ بِها الْخِرِّيتُ

بِمِثْلِ ذا قَضَيْتُ

And look in the book of Al-I'tisam

Of the eminent imam

لَكِنَّنا قَدْ مِلْنا

لِلْجَمْعِ لّما خلناِ

You will see in it reports

That repel denial

عُتْرَة خَيْرِ الرُّسُلِ

بُدور كُلّ مُعْضِلِ

And dismiss dependence

On what has been said

قُدْوَة كُلِّ مُقْتَدي

هُدَاة كُلّ مُهتديِ

In them of disparagement

And weakening and distortion

قَدْ صَحَّحُوا أَخْبارا

تُؤَيِّدُ الإظْهارَا

And do not trust what Ibn Hajar

Has babbled regarding it

قَدْ عَمَّمَتْ أحْيانا

وخَصَّصَتْ أَوَانا

For they are well-founded

Measured against the controverting

تُقارِبُ الْخَمْسينا

وابْحَثْ تَر الْيَقينا

Supported by the principles

So hear what I say

وانْظُرْ بسِفْرِ الاِعْتِصام

للعَالِمِ الْحَبْرِ الإمَام

From the perspective of affirmation

And the various aspects

تَرَى بِهِ أَخْبارَا

تَدْرَا بِهِ الإنكارا

And they have become supported

By the erect family

واطَّرِحِ التَّعْوِيلاَ

عَلَى الذي قَدْ قِيلا

Consensus has been established regarding it

As the Shias have related

فِيها مِنَ التَّضعيفِ

والطَّعْنِ والتَّحْريفِ

From the stars of guidance

And the ships of salvation

ولا تَثِقْ بِما زَبَرْ

في شَأْنِها ابنُ حَجَرْ

And with them a group

Of the keepers of the craft

فإنَّها لَناهِضَهْ

تُوازِنُ المعارِضَهْ

So whoever has become a proponent

Authenticating its secret

تَعْضدُها الأُصُولُ

فاسْتَمْلِ ما أقولُ

Say to him, advising,

"Is this not a repudiation

مِنْ جِهَةِ الأَثْباتِ

والأَوْجُهِ الشَّتاتِ

Of all that you deemed authentic?"

And the crux of the matter

وقَدْ غَدَتْ مُؤَيَّدَهْ

بالعِتْرَةِ الْمُشَيِّدَه

In the likes of this situation

Is that both sayings

قامَ بِها الإجْماعُ

كَمَا حَكَى الأَشْياعُ

Lead to harm without deviation

The resolute flees from it

عَنْ أَنْجُمِ الْهُداةِ

وسُفُنِ النَّجاة

And the firm path in

This issue is

وَمَعَهُمْ جَمَاعَهْ

مِنْ حَافِظي الصِّناعِهْ

Manifestation in the manifest

And secret in the secret

فَمَنْ غَدَا مُرَجِّحا

لِسِرِّها مُصَحِّحا

For if there occurs contradiction

Incline to Ibn Al-Qayyim

فَقُلْ له مناصِحا

أمثْلُ هَذَا طارِحا

You will obtain excellent reconciliation

Chosen by the Most Generous

وغايَةُ الْكَلامِ

في مِثْلِ ذَا الْمَقامِ

The ocean of sciences and the banner

Scholar of the transmitted and rational

أنَّ كِلا الْقَوْلَيْن

نابٍ بِغَيْرِ مَيْنِ

The reviver of sciences

Al-Qasim ibn Yahya

يَلْزَمُ مِنْهُ اللاّزِمُ

يَفِرُّ عَنْهُ الحازِمُ

Or say, in the words of the resolute one

So that is whichever resolute one

والجادَّةُ الْقَويّهْ

في هَذِهِ الْقَضِيَّهْ

But if you insist

On rejecting this saying

الْجَهْرُ في الْجَهْرِيَّةِ

والسِّرُّ في السِّرِّيَّةِ

Then come to Abd al-Qadir

The scholar of the time and the last

فإِنَّ هَذَا الناهِضُ

إن ما جَرَى التّعارُضُ

The ocean, ibn Ahmad

Possessor of sciences from hand to hand

فَمِلْ إِلَى ابْنِ الْقَيِّم

تَظْفَرْ بِجَمْعٍ قَيِّمِ

The unique one of this time

Truly without mention

قَدِ ارْتَضاهُ الأَكْرَمُ

بَحْرُ الْعُلُومِ الْعَلَمُ

Of absolute diligence

Foremost of all foremost

عَلاَّمَةُ المنْقُولِ

حَقّاً مَعَ المعْقُولِ

And the exemplar

In these eras

مَنْ للعُلومِ أَحْيا

القاسِمُ بنُ يَحْيَى

You will attain guidance

In his deep sea

أَو قُلْ بِقَوْلِ الحازِمِي

فَذَاكَ أَيُّ جازِمِ

So set out to his abode

And seek guidance from his guidance

فإنْ أَبَيْتَ إلاّ

طَرْحَكَ هَذَا الْقَوْلا

Then may prayers eternally

Be upon the Prophet

فَلْتَأْتِ عَبْدَ القادِرِ

حَبْرَ الزمان الأخر

And his family, the imams

The safeguard of this nation

الْبَحْرَ ابنَ أَحْمَدِ

حَاوي الْعُلُومِ عَنْ يَدِ

واحِدَ هَذا الْعَصْرِ

حَقّاً بِغَيْرِ نُكْرِ

ذا الاِجْتهادِ الْمُطْلَقِ

سَبْاقَ كُلِّ سابِقِ

ونُقْطَةَ الْبِيكارِ

في هَذهِ الأَعْصارِ

تَظْفَرْ بِنَيْلِ الرُّشْدِ

في بَحْرِهِ ذي الْمَدِّ

فانْهَضْ إلى ذُرَاهُ

واسْتَهْدِ مِنْ هُدَاهُ

ثُمَّ الصَّلاةُ سَرْمَدا

عَلَى النَّبيِّ أَبَدا

وآلِهِ الأَئِمةِ

أَمانِ هِذِي الأُمَّةِ
