1. إلَى الدِّرْعِيَّةِ الْغَرَّاءِ تَسْري

    فَتُخْبِرُها بِمَا فَعْلَ الْجُنُودُ

    To ad-Dir'iyah the splendid it flows

    To tell it what the soldiers have done

  2. وتَصَرُخُ في رُبا نَجْدٍ جِهاراً

    فَيَسْمَعُها إذا صَرَخَتْ سُعودُ

    And it screams loudly in the expanse of Najd

    So when it screams, Sa'oud hears it

  3. وأَبْنا مُقْرنٍ وهُمُ لُيوثٌ

    إذَا الْحَرْبُ الْعَوانُ لَها وَقُودُ

    And the sons of Muqrin, they are lions

    When war calls, they are its fuel

  4. ويَسْأَلُ كُلُّ ذي فَهْمٍ وعِلْمٍ

    سُؤَالاً عِنْدَ مُعْضِلَةٍ تَؤُودُ

    And everyone of wisdom and knowledge asks

    When faced with quandary, oppressing

  5. فَفِي أَبْناءِ شَيْخِ الْفَضْلِ فَضْلٌ

    إلى الإنصاف فضلهم يقود

    Thus, in the sons of the Sheikh of Virtue, virtue

    To fairness, their virtue leads

  6. كذاك بقية الأقوام طراً

    وكُلُّ مُسَوَّدٍ مِنْهُمُ يَسُودُ

    And so are the rest of the peoples, excellent

    And every one of them that is renowned, excels

  7. أَلمّا تَعْلَموا أَنّا وأَنْتُمُ

    عَلَى صَوْبِ الصَّوابِ لَنا قُعُودُ

    Do you not know that we and you

    Are on the path of truth we dwell

  8. ونَهْجُ الْحَقِّ لا نَبْغي سِواهُ

    إليْهِ جُلُّ مَقْصِدِنا يَعُودُ

    And we do not desire any path but the path of truth

    To it our every pursuit returns

  9. وأَنّا نَجْعَلُ الْقُرآنَ جِسْراً

    فَمَصْدَرُنا عَلَيْهِ والْوُرُودُ

    We make the Qur'an our bridge

    To it, our source, and pilgrimage

  10. نَرُدُّ إلى الْكِتابِ إذا اخْتَلَفْنا

    مَقَالَتَنا ولَيْسَ لَنا جُحُودُ

    When we differ, we refer to the Book

    Our discourse, we do not reject

  11. كَذاكَ إلى مَقال الطُّهْر طَهَ

    نَرُدُّ وفِي الْكِتابِ لِذَا شُهُودُ

    Likewise to the words of the Pure (Prophet) we refer

    In the Book, witness to this endures

  12. وكُلُّ مُخَالِفٍ ما كانَ قِدْماً

    عَلَيْهِ الأَمْرُ تَطْرُقُهُ الرُّدُودُ

    And all who differed in generations past

    Are subject to refutation without pause

  13. وَمَا في قَالَ زَيْدٌ قال عَمْرٌو

    مَفَادٌ إنْ تَزَاحَمَتِ الْوُفُودُ

    In what Zayd said and what 'Amr said

    No benefit, if crowds amass

  14. مَضَى خَيْرُ الْقُرونِ ومَنْ تَلاهُ

    وَلاَ قِيلٌ ولا قَالٌ ولُودُ

    The best of eras has passed and those after

    No saying or talks endure

  15. وَمَشْرَبُ دينِنَا عَذْبٌ فُراتٌ

    وَوِرْدٌ لا يُكِّدرهُ الْوُرودُ

    And our religion's draught is sweet Euphrates

    An unending stream, no pollution endures

  16. لَهُمْ مِنْ حِلْيَةِ الإنْصافِ حَلْيٌ

    وَمِنْ لُبْسِ الْهُدَى لَهُمُ بُرودُ

    In the garb of justice, a garment they don

    And in the mantle of guidance, a cloak immaculate

  17. وعُودُ الْحَقِّ مُخْضَرٌّ بَهِيٌّ

    سَوِيٌّ حَبَّذا هَذَاكَ عُودُ

    The wood of truth is verdant and pristine

    Undeviating, excellent this wood endures

  18. يَمُرّونَ الصَّفاةَ كما أَتَيْنا

    ولا لَغَطٌ هُناكَ ولا جُحُودُ

    They pass through tranquility as we have passed

    No turmoil there, and no rejection occurs

  19. وقَوْلُهُمُ وفِعْلُهُمُ بِنَصٍّ

    صَحيحٍ لا تُعاوِرُهُ الردُودُ

    By text, their sayings and deeds stand

    No refutations can make them obscure

  20. ولَمْ يَتَلاعَبِ الأَقْوامُ يَوْماً

    بآراءٍ إِلى بِدَعٍ تَقُودُ

    And people have never played in any time

    With opinions to innovations lead

  21. ورِيحُ الرَّأْي والتَّقْلِيدِ فيهمْ

    بِذَاكَ الْعَصْرِ كانَ لَهَا رُكُودُ

    And the wind of opinion and taqlid among them

    In that time, stillness endured

  22. ولَوْ هَبَّتْ لَهَبَّ لَها أُناسٌ

    يَضِيقُ بها المنافِذُ والنُّجودُ

    Had it blown, people would have opposed

    Straitness occurs, passages cannot pass

  23. وَمَا قَالُوا بِتَكْفِيرٍ لِقَوْمٍ

    لَهُمْ بِدَعٌ عَلَى الإسْلامِ سُودُ

    And they did not make takfir of a people

    Having innovations over Islam, darkness spreads

  24. كَما كانَ الْخَوارِجُ في ابْتِداعٍ

    يَشِيبُ لَها مِنَ الإسْلامِ فَودُ

    As did the Khawarij in innovations

    Causing Islam's wounds, no cure endures

  25. وَمَا قالُوا بأنَّ الرَّفَضَ كُفْرٌ

    وبِدْعَتَهُ تُشَقُّ لَها الْجُلودُ

    Nor did they say the Rafidha are blasphemers

    Ripping their skins, their innovation assured

  26. فكَيْفَ يُقالُ قَدْ كَفَرَتْ أُناسٌ

    يُرَى لِقُبُورِهِمْ حَجَرٌ وعُودُ

    Then how can it be said people disbelieved

    Their graves are marked by stone and wood?

  27. فإنْ قَالُوا أَتَى أَمْرٌ صحيحٌ

    بِتَسْوِيَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَلاَ جُحُودُ

    If they say a correct order came

    To level graves, no denial endures

  28. ولكنْ ذاكَ ذَنْبٌ لَيْسَ كُفراً

    ولا فسْقاً فَهَلْ في ذَا رُدودُ

    But that is a sin, not blasphemy

    Nor immorality, can this be refuted?

  29. وإلا كان من يَعصي بذنبٍ

    كفوراً إنَّ ذا قول شرودُ

    Or else the one disobeying a sin

    Would be a blasphemer, an aimless claim for sure

  30. وقدْ ذَهَبَ الخوارِجُ نَحْوَ هَذا

    وما مِثلُ الخوارِجِ من يَقُود

    The Khawarij ventured towards this

    And none emulate the Khawarij, they obscure

  31. وَقَدْ خَرَقُوا بِذَا الإجماعِ حَقّاً

    وكُلُّ العالَمينَ بهِ شُهُودُ

    They have breached the consensus, it is true

    Witnessed by all scholars secured

  32. فإنْ قُلْتُمْ قَدِ اعْتَقَدوا قُبُوراً

    فلَيْسَ لِذا بأرْضِينا وُجودُ

    If you say they hold graves as sanctuaries

    None exist in our lands, this we assure

  33. ومَنْ يأتي إلى عَبْد حَقيرٍ

    فَيَزعُمُ أَنَّهُ الرَّبُّ الوَدُودُ

    Whoever comes to a lowly slave

    Claiming he is the Affectionate Lord

  34. فَهَذا الكُفْرُ لَيسَ بِهِ خَفَاءٌ

    وَلاَ رَدٌّ لِذاكَ ولا جُحودُ

    This is the blasphemy with no doubt

    No rebuttal or denial can endure

  35. ولَسْتُ بِمُنْكِرٍ هَدْماً لِقَبْرٍ

    إذَا لَعِبَتْ بِجَانِبِه القُرودُ

    I do not reject demolition of a grave

    When monkeys around it dance and lure

  36. وقَالُوا إنَّ رَبَّ القَبْرِ يَقْضي

    لَنَا حَاجاً فَتأتِيهِ الوُفودُ

    And say this grave's lord grants our needs

    So crowds to him pilgrimage endure

  37. كَذَبْتُمْ ذاكَ رَبُّ العَرْشِ حَقّاً

    تَعالى أَنْ تَكُونَ لَهُ نُدودُ

    You lie, The Lord of the Throne in truth

    Exalted, no equals He endures

  38. وَمَنْ يَقْصِدْ إلى قَبْرٍ لأَمْرٍ

    بِغَيْرِ تَوَسُّلٍ فَهُوَ الكَنُودُ

    Whoever visits a grave for a matter

    Without tawassul, he is the churl

  39. ويَبْقَى الأَمْرُ فيمَنْ قَالَ جَهْلاً

    مَقالاً مَالَهُ فيهِ قُصُودُ

    The issue remains with him who says in ignorance

    Words without purpose he endures

  40. ولَوْ قُلْنَا لَهُ هَلْ ذاكَ رَبٌّ

    تُنادِيه لَظَلَّ بِذَا يَمودُ

    Had we asked: Is this truly a lord

    You call out to? He would remain still

  41. وقَالَ الرَّبُّ رَبُّ العَرْشِ فَرْدٌ

    وهَذَا عِنْدَهُ عَبْدٌ وَدُودُ

    And say: the Lord is the Lord of the Throne Alone

    This is but a slave, a friend endures

  42. ولَيْسَ لَهُ مِنَ الأَشْياءِ شَيْءٌ

    فَقِيرٌ لا يُنيلُ ولا يَجُودُ

    He owns none of creation's affairs

    Poor, grants naught, nor gentleness endures

  43. ولكِنْ كانَ ذَا عَمَلٍ وعِلْمٍ

    وما عِنْدِي لِذا أَبَداً وُجُودُ

    But he was of knowledge and deeds

    I do not posses this, forever ensure

  44. فَرُمْتُ تَوَسُّلاً يَوْماً بعَبْدٍ

    إلى رَبٍّ يَحِقُّ لَهُ السُّجُودُ

    So I sought means one day through a slave

    To a Lord worthy of prostration immaculate

  45. أَفِيدوُنا وَإِلاّ فاسْتَفِيدوا

    وعُودُوا نَحْوَنا فِيمَنْ يَعُودُ

    Inform us, else be informed

    And return to us, he who returns

  46. وَلِي في ذَا كِتابٌ قُمْتُ فِيهِ

    مَقاماً لَيْسَ يُنْكِرُهُ الحَسودُ

    I have a book I stood with

    A stand none resenting endures

  47. إذَا وَرَدَتْهُ أَعْلامُ البَرايا

    عَلَى ظَمَأٍ يَطيبُ لَها الوُرودُ

    If the learned ones of the land come upon it

    Thirsty, the stream pleases and endures

  48. وقَدْ سارَتْ بِهِ الرُّكْبانُ شَرْقاً

    وَغَرْباً لم تَردْ فيه رُدودُ

    The caravans have traversed with it East and West

    No refutations in it endure

  49. وَأَنَّ الحَقَّ مَقْبولٌ لَدَيْنا

    وَفينا ما لَنَا عَنْهُ رُدودُ

    Truth is accepted among us

    In us is that we do not refute

  50. كِتابُ اللهِ قَدْوَتُنا وَمَا في

    كَلامِ الْمُصْطَفَى وَهما العمُودُ

    Allah's Book is our role model

    As are the Prophet's words, the pillars endure

  51. وَهَدْيُ الصّحْبِ أَفْضَلُ كُلِّ هَدْيٍ

    وَأَشْرَفُهُ وإنْ جَحَدَ الجَحُودُ

    The guidance of the Companions most virtuous

    Noblest, though the spiteful ignore

  52. فَهَلْ لكُمُ إلى هَذَا رُجُوعٌ

    فإنْ عُدْتُمْ فَنَحْنُ كَذا نَعُودُ

    Is there for you return to this?

    If you return, so shall we endure

  53. نُقَوِّمُ دِينَنا فَنَنالُ أجْراً

    كما قَدْ نَالَهُ مِنّا جُدودُ

    We will correct our faith and gain reward

    As our forefathers gained in their towers

  54. مَعَ المخْتار صَلَّى ذو الْمَعالي

    عَلَيْهِ ما تَقَهْقَهَتِ الرّعودُ

    With Al-Mukhtar blessings and peace

    Upon him when lightnings strike and roar

  55. وجَادَتْ عِنْدَ مَبعَثِهِ سُيوفٌ

    وفي التّحديدِ إن سُلّتْ تَجودُ

    And swords unsheathe at his advent

    Gushing forth when unsheathed they endure

  56. فَيا أَهْلَ الجَزيرَةِ مِنْ مَعَدٍّ

    وقَحْطانٍ إلى الْمَعْهودِ عُودوا

    O people of the Peninsula, of Ma'add and Qahtan

    To the known, return

  57. وَقَدْ آنَ الوِفاقُ فَلا تَكُونوا

    عَلَى الإسْلامِ فاقِرَةً تَؤودُ

    And reconciliation is due, so be not

    Upon Islam, destructive in towers

  58. وذُودُوا مَنْ أتَى مِنْكُمْ بِنُكْرٍ

    فَخَيْرُ الْمُسْلِمينَ فَتىً يَذُودُ

    Repel those among you who deny

    For best of Muslims is one protective in towers

  59. وذَا نُصْحٌ صَحيحٌ منْ نَصيحٍ

    فساعِدْني عَلَيْهِ يا سعودُ

    This is sincere advice from a sincere advisor

    So assist me O Sa'oud
