صَدَرَتْ مُخْبِّرَةً عَنِ الأَمْرِ الذي

يَشْكُوهُ اِبْنُ أِبي الرِّجالِ مُحَمدُ

It set forth informing of the matter which

The son of Abi al-Rijal Muhammad complains of

وإليكَ يا فَخْرَ الأنامِ بَعَثْتُها

فانْظُرْ لِتَعْلَمَ أَيُّنا المتَشَدِّدُ

And to you O pride of mankind I sent it

So look to know which of us is the obstinate one

وَلَرُبّما دَارَتْ رَحَى حُكْمٍ عَلَى

رَجُلٍ فَظَلَّ عَنِ الحَقِيقةِ يَشْرُدُ

And perhaps the millstone of authority turned upon

A man so he strayed from the truth confused

دَاَبَ الزَّمانُ وأَهْلُهُ أن يَثْلُموا

مَنْ ذا يُطيقُ لِكُلِّ ثُلْمٍ يَسْدُدُ

The days and its people are accustomed to defraud

Who can aim rightly at each fraud?

فإذا سَمِعْتَ مَقَالةً مُعْوَجَّةً

في شَأْنِ حُكْمٍ قَالَها مَنْ يَنْقُدُ

So if you hear a crooked saying

In a matter of authority said by one who criticizes

فاعْلَمْ بأنَّ النّاسَ مَحْكُومٌ لَهُ

يَرْضَى ومَحكُومٌ عَلَيْهِ مُكَمَّدُ

Know that people are ruled by him

Who is pleased and ruled against who is repressed

تاللهِ ما رَضيوا مَقَالَ مُحَمّدٍ

وَهُوَ الرَّسولُ وقَوْلُهُ لا يُرْدَدُ

By Allah they were not pleased with Muhammad's saying

And he is the Messenger and his word is not rejected

كَلاّ ولا رَضيوا مَقَالَةَ حَيْدَرٍ

وَهُوَ الإِمامُ المْرتَضَى المتَجَهِّدُ

No, nor were they pleased with Haydar's saying

And he is the chosen Imam who strives

فَمَتَى تَرَاهُمْ يَرْتَضُونَ مَقَالَتي

مِنْ دُونِ أَنْ يَأْتُوا بما لا يُوجِدُ

So when will you see them pleased with my sayings

Without bringing what cannot be found?

وعَلَيْكَ يا بنَ الأَكْرَمِينَ تَحِيَّةٌ

مِنِّي وَذَاكَ هُوَ السَّلامُ السَّرْمَدُ

And upon you O son of the two most honorable greetings

From me and that is the eternal peace
