They said, all people are against you

Yet you do not fear or waver

So I said, they cannot prevent

The world or the hereafter from me, nor benefit

If they injure me, they are but flies, so they

Cannot restore what they take away

Shall I leave truth and the path of guidance

If they shred my honor or clamor?

Then I would not have been, nor would there be for me

In the garden of knowledge, a place to graze

And ignorance would have been a comfort

From the knowledge of one who submits to falsehood
