لا زَالَتِ السُّحْبُ عَلَى مَشْرَعَهْ
هامِلَةً هامِيَةً مُتْرَعَهْ
The clouds still loom over his horizon,
Bearing down with pregnant heaviness.
فَقَاتُها قُوتُ الْقُلُوب الّتي
لِرِقَّةِ الطَّبْعِ بِهِ مُولَعَهْ
Their rain nourishes hearts too delicate
To weather the storms of nature unchecked.
للهِ يَوْمٌ قَدْ نَزَلْنَا بِها
ما كان أَحْلَى عِنْدَنا مَوْقِعَهْ
One day we arrived and pitched camp here.
How sweet a resting place we happened upon!
