يا أَهْلَ صَنْعا وإنْ كانَتْ أحِبَّتُنا

يا أَهْلَ صَنْعا وإنْ كانَتْ أحِبَّتُنا

فِيها فإنَّ الإمامَ الْمُرْتَجَى فِينا

فِيها فإنَّ الإمامَ الْمُرْتَجَى فِينا

O people of Sana'a, though our loved ones are

O people of Sanaa, though our loved ones are there

there, still the hoped-for imam is among us.

The chosen Imam is among us

الرَّأْسُ فِينا ورَأْسُ الشَّيْءِ أَشْرَفُهُ

الرَّأْسُ فِينا ورَأْسُ الشَّيْءِ أَشْرَفُهُ

وعِنْدَنا صارَ راعِيكُمْ ورَاعِينا

وعِنْدَنا صارَ راعِيكُمْ ورَاعِينا

The head is among us, and the head of a thing is its noblest part.

The head is among us, and the head of something is its noblest part

And your shepherd and ours is now with us.

With us has become your shepherd and ours
