أُعْطَى مِنَ الإنْعامِ أَضْعافَ ما

أُعْطَى مِنَ الإنْعامِ أَضْعافَ ما

قَدْ كُنْتُ أَرْجُو البَعْضَ من جِنْسِهِ

قَدْ كُنْتُ أَرْجُو البَعْضَ من جِنْسِهِ

I am granted, in bounty, many times what

I am given of favors multiples of what

I had hoped for—only a portion of its kind.

I had hoped for some of its kind

إنِّيَ لا أُحْصِي عَلَيْهِ الثّنَا

إنِّيَ لا أُحْصِي عَلَيْهِ الثّنَا

بَلْ هُو كَما أَثْنَى عَلَى نَفْسِهِ

بَلْ هُو كَما أَثْنَى عَلَى نَفْسِهِ

Indeed, I cannot fully reckon the praise due to Him;

Truly I cannot fully praise Him

Rather, He is as He has praised Himself.

But He is as He praised Himself
