I said to the stingy beauty when
She rejected my note and feared my response:
Why should the breeze hurt your cheek
When the breeze is like my reproach?
Why should the silk hurt your hand
When the silk is like my letter?
Then I saw the eyes speak magic
And she said, "End this talk!"
Her heart sought refuge from you by avoidance
Her hand softened toward you with henna
