ببابكِ العالي ذووا حاجةٍ

لولا التقى قلتُ ادخلوا سجدا

Come to your lofty door, those with a need

If we had not met, I would say, “Enter bowing”

فأْذُنْ لعل القومَ مثلَ الذي

قادتهُ تلكَ النارُ نحو الهدى

So permit, perhaps these people are like him

Whom that fire guided toward righteousness
