خلقَ اللهُ الجمالَ حكمةً

تذكرُ الناسَ نعيمَ الآخرةْ

God created beauty as a wisdom

To remind people of paradise’s bliss

كلُّ عينٍ سهرتْ فيهِ ولمْ

تكُ من قبلِ الهوى بالساهرةْ

Every eye that stayed up at night for it

Was not staying up before out of passion’s keenness

ليسَ ما يروى عن السحرِ سوى

ما تراهُ في العيونِ الساحرةْ

What is said about magic is not but

What you see in the enchanting eyes
