ظننت ظنا عانى

بذلك الظن أحمد

I thought I was suffering

With that thought, Ahmed

أي أن أمري وشاني

اليك بعده يصمد

That is, my matter and my status

Afterwards relies on you

ما راعني منك إلا

والسيف في القلب يغمد

Nothing cared for me except

And the sword in the heart is sheathed

إن كان ذلك ذنبا

فليس بالمتعمد

If that was a sin

It is not intentional

فما أنا بسطيح

ولا في الماء يجمد

So I am not lying down

Nor does he freeze in the water

ولا نبوة قطعا

بعد النبي محمد

Nor prophecy at all
