للّه بيتا بنيت فابشر

يا من صراطه مستقيم

For God a house you built, so rejoice

O you whose path is straight

أقمت فيه الصلاة دينا

إذ قال رب الورى أقيموا

You established prayer in it as a duty

When the Lord of all said: Stand in prayer

أنت البشير التقى الحسيني

فليفتخر بيتك الفخيم

You are the pious, the virtuous, the Husseini

So let your eminent house take pride

إنا علمنا عليك خيرا

واللّه أيضا به عليم

We knew you for good

And God knows it too

يا من نهى النفس عن هواها

دنيا وأخرى لك النعيم

O you who forbade the soul its desires

For you is bliss, in this life and the next

أعظم بمسجدك المعلى

يدعولك الركن والحطيم

Exalt your lofty mosque

The Black Stone and the Station implore blessings for you

مذ كنت فينا العظيم قدرا

أرخ هو المسجد العظيم

Since you were among us greatly esteemed

This great mosque remains a monument
