الحب باسم حبيبتي مقرون

وكذاك اسماء الملاح تكون

Love is associated with the name of my beloved

Just as sailor's names are known

نطق اسمها بالحب فهي حبيبة

ولها مكان في النفوس مكين

Uttering her name with love, she is the beloved

كل يرى ليلاه يا ابنة أختها

في بردتيك وكلنا المجنون

Everyone sees their own night, oh niece

In your cheek, and we are all infatuated

لك في الشباب الغض أول مركز

قرت به للناظرين عيون

For you, in blossoming youth, the first position

Which has satisfied viewers' eyes

وجه يشف عن النضارة لطفه

شمس الضحى والطالع الميمون

A face whose gentleness reveals freshness

The rising sun and the auspicious ascendant

وجه تريك محسنات بديعه

ما الحسن متضحا وما التحسين

A face in which you see beautiful charms

Neither beauty manifested, nor adornment

فيه من السحر الحلال لواحظ

تصمي ومن ماء الحياة معين

In it is lawful magic for the admirer

Who is fascinated, and from the water of life, a spring

ومن الزهور الآس والورد النقي

ومن اللآلي الجوهر المكنون

And from flowers, myrtle and pure roses

And from rubies, the hidden gem

وعليه من تلك الشعور خمائل

تقرا بها في وجنتيها النون

And on it, from those locks, braids

Which are read in its cheeks, the letter "nun"

أدلت وحسبك ما تدلى منه فو

ق المنكبين ذؤابتين تلين
