يا صاحب التقويم بل

يا كاتب الدستور فينا

O holder of the calendar, rather

O writer of the constitution in us

لا زلت عنوان النجا

بة بين قومي الناهضينا

You are still the address of salvation among my rising people

عرفتك منذ صباك يا

حر الضمير المخلصونا

The free conscience loyal to us

Tunisia has known you since you became

If your prison is narrow

إن كان سجنك ضيّقا

فلقد غدا كنزا ثمينا

It has become a precious treasure

Thank your Lord for His bounty

فاشكر لربك فضله

وانهض نهوض المصلحين

And rise with the reformer's determination

In pride, how much loyal hand you have

في الفخر كم لك من يد

لا ريب نعرفها يقينا

No doubt we know it for certain

So live long, O Madani, for the

فلتحي يا مدني لل

خضراء حياة الفائزينا

Green, the life of the winners

As long as your beautiful sight

ما دام منظرك البه

ي بها يسر الناظرينا

Gladdens the beholders
