    دنيا وأخرى فهي كنز دعاء

    اسعى لأجلكمو وللعلياء

  15. إما قضيت وهل سواي مانع

    منها فلست بميت الأحياء

  18. ليس بمثن عن صنيعي إنما

    هي نشوة سكبت بكاس ثناء

  19. إن كدرتك ولا تخافي فرقة

    فأنا وأنت بها من العداء

  20. فاللّه ينصفنا ويجري عدله

    علنا وغنه أرحم الرحماء

    God will do us justice and carry out His judgment

    On us and others, most merciful of the merciful

  21. خفت الحنان يجرني للضعف لا

    أرضاه لي أأنا من الجبناء

    I feared tenderness would make me weak, unwilling

    To satisfy it in me, am I of the cowards?

  22. كوني معي قربا وبعدا إنني

    أهوى عفافك فالعفاف ردائي

    Be with me near and far, for I

    Love your chastity, and chastity is my armor

  23. فيك الفضائل كلها جمعت فما

    حسناء فيهم شابهت حسنائي

    In you are all the virtues combined, no

    Beauty resembles yours in them

  24. صوني الإوزّ وبشّريه بأنه

    في يوم إطلاقي من الطلقاء

    Guard the child and give him the good news that

    The day I'm released from prison, he'll see me

  25. راعيه عني أنت راعية له

    مذ كنت مسؤولا على استرعائي

    Watch over him for me, you watch over him

  26. في الخير أسعى دائما فجميعنا

  27. هذي بلادك يا حسين وأنت في

  28. أخذت بسلطة آلك الظلما ءتخ

    بط في الحوالك خبطة العشواء

    عابقتني نعم الجزاء جزائي

    Or didn't you know it's you who

    Embraced me - how good is my reward!

  30. أجرى نفوذك في الحكومة أمره

    فحكمت دون العلم بالأجراء

    Your influence spread in government, its matter

    Decreed without knowledge of proceedings

  31. أبكاك عرشك مرتين له ولي

    عجبا فمنك سعادتي وشقائي

    Does your throne make you cry twice for it and me -

    Strangely, from you my joy and my agony

  32. أفترتضين وعرش بيتك هكذا

    يندك تحت معاول الظلماء

    Do you think your ancestral throne should

    Be under the hammers of the unjust?

  33. أنا باسم حقك قد طرحت وظيفتهم

    لا بل وظيفك يا ابنة الأمراء

    In your name, my ally, wife, I called on supporters

    To help, not just my post, but yours too, daughter of nobles

  34. ولبستها متشرفا وطنيّتي

    أحبب بها ودخلت في الشرفاء

  35. طال اصطباري عن تدنس رتبة

    هي في الحقيقة رتبة العظماء

    In your name, I'm an activist in this country

    For it and you, and I have great hope

  36. أأرى بها منعي على نشرية

    ما بينهم وأنا من الشعراء

    In your name, I raise my voice to its

    Free ones, complaining of oppressors

  37. ما كنت أترك خدمة الأدبا ولو

    عرضت علي وظيفة الوزراء

    In your name, I support rights and the call

    For constitution in the Green Land

  38. أنا باسم حقك يا حليفة زوجها

    أدعو الحماة لنصرة الحلفاء

    In your name, I stood and declared openly

    With the group of supporters

  39. أنا باسم حقك للعميد مقدم

    هذا المؤلف يا ابنة الكبراء

    They are the free, masters of refusal

    Of us and them, scourge of enemies

  40. أنا باسم حقك في البلاد مناضل

    عنها وعنك ولي عظيم رجاء

    The people of justice cannot have an unjust ruler

    The happy live next to the miserable

  41. انا باسم حقك رافع صوتي إلى

    أحرارهم أشكو من الغرماء

    The opponent said a saying that made

    My soul laugh mockingly against my will:

  42. انا باسم حقك للحقوق مويد

    ولدعوة الدستور في الخضراء

    "The treaty bound the rulers to the

    Release of power, and God is faithful"

  43. أنا باسم حقك قمت أعلن بينهم

    بصراحة مع زمرة النصراء

    Justice annuls it, and it's not possible

    To annul treaties while they're on guard

  44. تلكم هم الأحرار أرباب النهى

    منا ومنهم ونقمة الأعداء

    Oh how strange, how could the fair-minded

    Say this without any shame

  45. شعب العدالة لا يكون بظالم

    يحيا السعيد بجانب التعساء

    Pages of the country's history are proofs

    Against the claims of opponents

  46. قال المعارض قولة ضحكت لها

    نفسي برغمي ضحكة استهزاء

    The Emir Muhammad gave his minister

    My grandfather the people's rights, no doubt

  47. إن المعاهد عاهد الأمرا على ال

    إطلاق حكما وهو رب وفاء

    That law he pledged before God

    With the ministers and scholars

  48. والعدل ينقضها وليس بممكن

    نقض العهود وهم من الخفراء

    They drafted its articles, and in those

    Councils, my grandfather was the first of leaders

  49. يا للغرابة كيف ساغ لمنصف

    هذا المقال بدون ما استحياء

    My grandfather and the husband of his cousin

  50. وسطور تاريخ البلاد شواهد

    فينا بضد مقالة الخصماء

  53. قد رتّبوا أفصاله والجد في

    تلك المجالس أول الرؤساء

    And the Bey himself, supporter of his people

    Said, to please them is to please me

  54. جدي وجد الزوج والد عمها

    باي البلاد هما من الشهداء

    The Marshall, his father fulfilled his law

    And the delegation witnessed the giving

  55. لكن تعطل والزمان معاكس

    والله يعلم علة الأدواء

    Everyone knows the secret of their contentment

    When justice is the power of the weak

  56. وهمو مع الدول الفخيمة عندها

    بعثوا لنصر الحق بالسفراء

    Happy are they, and their hearts

    Are to us as solid rock

  57. ما بالهم واليوم بين ظهورنا

    نظروا لنا فيها بعين خطاء

    They desire in selfishness only that

    I see blindness along with the seeing

  58. وبالباي نفسه وهو ناصر شعبه

    قد قال في استرضائهم إرضائي

    The voice of truth is annoying, but

    The ear of the General leans toward listening

  59. بر المشير أباه في قانونه

    والوفد أصبح شاهد الإعطاء

    He listens to the roar of consciences, though

    The nation was mute

  60. السر يعلمه الجميع رويدهم

    حيث العدالة قوة الضعفاء

    Opening his eyes, he saw the truth

    With no doubt or imagining of enemies

  61. هم في السعادة راتعون وقلبهم

    في حالنا كالصخرة الصماء

    And so whoever loves virtues wears

    Their cloak and walks with the virtuous

  62. لا يشتهون وذي أنانية سوى

    أنا ترى عميا مع البصراء

    And saw before him in the country three

    Wrangling the wrangling of foes

  63. صوت الحقيقة مزعج لكنما

    أذن العميد تميل للإصغاء

    This one selfish, that one a traitor

    And the third pushed to rabble rouse

  64. يصغى لساجعة العقائر منصتا

    غذ لم يكن في الأمة الخرساء

    He sways between them, defending his right

    Like a ship between still air and wind

  65. فتح العيون فشاهد الحق الذي

    لا ريب فيه ولا خيال عداء

    And God is his supporter, your Lord says

    The earth is Mine and the sky is Mine

  66. وكذاك من عشق الفضائل يرتدي

    بردائها ومشى مع الفضلاء

    They shook it with their wars, so it shook

    I made it move, not the objects

  67. ورأى أمامه في البلاد ثلاثة

    يتنازعون تنازع الخصماء

    This is a tremor, and it's one body

    So motion relates to its parts

  68. هذا أناني وذلك خائن

    والثالث المدفوع للهيجاء

  69. يهتز بينهما بدافع حقه

    كالفلك أصبح بين ما وهواء

  70. والله ناصره وربك قائل

    الأرض أرضي والسماء سمائي

  71. زلزلتها بحروبهم فتحركت

    منّي التحرك لا من الأشياء

  72. هذا ارتجاج وهي جسم واحد

    ولذا الحراك بنسبة الأعضاء
