للّه مجملة كانت وتفصيلا

For God, they were summary and detail

كرى تثير من الرائي عواطفه

بين اليواقظ لا حلما وتأويلا

Events that evoke emotions in the observer

Between the vigilant, not a dream or interpretation

ما تعيده للأبصار موعظة

تريك للدهر تحويلا وتبديلا

What repeats for sights is advice

That shows you the changes of time and alteration

الصحائف للآباء ناصعة

بين ترتلها الأيام ترتيلا

The scriptures for the fathers are radiant

As days chant them in chanting

انهض بهمتك القعسا كما نهضوا

واستحصل المجد للآباء تحصيلا

Rise with your determination though tired as they rose

And acquire glory for the fathers in acquisition

لعمري صلاح الدين خالدة

آثاره الغر مذ أولته تجبيلا

For my life, Saladin's achievements

Are immortal since I first glorified them

لم تخلد في تاريخنا الذهبي

مما يكلل تاج العرب تكليلا

Our golden history did not immortalize

What crowns the crown of Arabs in coronation

من الذين على منوالهم نسجوا

ما أهلتنا ظروف الحال تأهيلا

Those who modeled their ways

To what our circumstances enabled in qualification

فانحي يا تونس الخضرا بهمة من

يستسهل الصعب في إرضاك تسهيلا

So rise, oh green Tunisia, with the determination of one

Who makes the difficult easy in pleasing you with facilitation
