تدحرج الظلم إذ زلت به القدم
فاستبشر الحق واهتزت له الأمم
Injustice rolled as feet slipped with it
So righteousness rejoiced and nations shook for it
آن الأوان إلى الأحرار فانتقموا
للّه أكبر فالظلام قد علموا
Now is the time for the free to avenge
God is Greatest, so darkness knew
لأي منقلب يفضي الألى ظلموا
تسلم الحكم أهل العدل وانخفضت
To what setback does oppression lead
The just took power and humility lowered
آل التقهقر بل أيامنا انقرضت
قل هكذا حكمة المولى القدير قضت
The days of decline, nay our days expired
Say thus the wisdom of the Able Master judged
لقد هوى اليوم صرح الظلم وانتقضت
أركانه وتولت أهله النقم
Today the citadel of injustice collapsed
Its pillars and its people met with grievance
وكان ما كان من جيش الفتى العمري
غذ قام منتصرا بالصارم الذكر
As the army of the valiant Prince did
When he rose victorious with the cutting mention
فانقذ القوم من هول ومن خطر
وحصحص الحق في عز وفي ظفر
So he saved the people from horror and danger
And truth became manifest in strength and victory
يحقه خادماه السيف والقلم
سلو سلانيك إذ قامت مشيدة
Hail to Salonica as it stood
For a state that was long threatened
لدولة طالما كانت مهددة
لا يعدم العدل أنصار مؤيدة
Justice never lacks steadfast supporters
A scattered band rose for it
ثارت له عصبة كانت مشردة
وقد تهددها الإرهاق والعدم
Who suffered exhaustion and torment for long
They endured thirty years of darkness of night
قاسوا الثلاثين حولا ظلمة الغسق
قاسوا الثلاثين جولا شدة الأرق
Thirty years of insomnia and anxiety
Until they readied themselves and straightened the paths
حتى استعدوا فأموا أسلك الطرق
من كل أروع في حيزومه حنق
Each with fury in their chests and pride in their noses
A people who see humiliation of man as abhorrent
في نفسه عزة في أنفه شمم
قوم ترى الذل بالإنسان فاحشة
Through them the Islamic nation came alive
And days became fearful through them
بهم غدت أمة الإسلام ناعشة
واصبحت منهم الأيام داهشة
Abdul Hamid heard their objections
For long they were patient, long they suppressed
عبد الحميد استمع منهم مناقشة
فطالما صبروا بل طالما كظمو
Yesterday these foes, you brought them together
And today they turned against the tyrant, their vanguards
بالأمس هذي الضواري أنت جامعها
واليوم دارت على الباغي طلائعها
They betrayed you as hopes in you were dashed
They abandoned your cursed ascendancy
خانتك إذ فيك قد خابت مطامعها
غادرت أمتك المنكود طالعها
Blinking their eyes if you return, the nations
How many traitors to you prayed submissively and prostrated
تغض مقلتها إن عدت الأمم
كم خائن لك صلى خاضعا وسجد
Yet rule is yours, say what you will, none rebuts
You failed our state, heeding no one
والأمر أمرك قل ما شئت ليس يرد
أخذلت دولتنا لم تستمع لأحد
You unleashed in it the swords of traitors when
It was by your rope, after God that it took refuge
أطلقت فيها سيوف الغادرين وقد
كانت بحبلك بعد الله تعتصم
They were the flock and the despot was a lion
Your palace the den, and the Romans its pillars
كانوا القطيع وكان المستبد أسد
عرينك العرش والسرجان فيه عمد
You exhausted them so they counted in humiliation and torment
My God, my God, O shepherd of the flock they have
أرهقتهم فعدّوا في ذلة وكمد
اللّه اللّه يا راعي القطيع فقد
Made its death throes during your shepherding of sheep
How many Weleds cried over their fathers because of you
لافت مصارعها في رعيك الغنم
كم من وليد بكى منكم على أبه
And God is their supporter against the injustice of their angry one
Were you attentive or unaware, you who
واللّه ناصره من عسف مغضبه
هل كنت منتبها أم غير منتبه
Bore what makes the firmaments groan
How was your action when you were the adversary and the judge
حملتنا ما تنوء الراسيات به
كيف الصنيع وأنت الخصم والحكم
We were and you were, and today here is our state
We are with truth and the constitution our goal
كنا وكنت وهذي اليوم حالتنا
إنا مع الحق والدستور غايتنا
Strangest that in the horizon our sign appeared
So we complained much but you heard not our plaints
أغرب فقد ظهرت في الأفق آيتنا
فكم شكونا ولم تسمع شكايتنا
And we called but the call met deafness
Say this is the breath of the Vanquisher made just
وكم دعونا وحظ الدعوة الصمم
قل هذه نفحة القهار قد عدلت
It met the hand of the treacherous killer what it wrought
O you who protect him in what is between you, you failed
لاقت يد الخائن الفتاك ما عملت
يا من حماته في ما بينه انخذلت
Our patron, tell me have you not invalidated
That stewardship when blessings were lost
ولي نعمتنا قل لي أما بطلت
تلك الولاية لما ضاعت النعم
You betrayed pacts and law and homeland
You lived the supreme with neither counsel nor safety
خنت العهود وخنت الشرع والوطنا
عشت المهيمن لا شورى ولا أمنا
You insisted except on our lagging behind
Had you been gentle, Commander of the Faithful, with us
أبيت إلا التمادي في تأخّرنا
فلو رفقت أمير المؤمنين بنا
No shedding of protected blood or tears shed
They asked you for a constitution as you commanded
ما كان أنفث مصدور وسال دم
أو غرت منا قلوبا طالما انكسرت
In the Sharia but you deemed unlawful what you legislated
You never ceased to turn away from an afflicted nation
لولا توغلكم في الضغط ما انفجرت
كم من فضائع في المابين قد صدرت
Until you divided them in two so they split
Over their corpses, sorrow and ruins
محافظ الحرمين اعدل فهل أمنت
في ظلك الكعبة الزهراء والحرم
You ruled tyrannically, what unjust rule
You ruled an age, what awesome injustice
كم انتدبناك لاستجلاب منفعة
فما نظرت لحال منك مفزعة
You scattered them into every abyss
You divided their unity in every direction
أفي زمانك بيت المال ذو سعة
أم حج حجاج بيت اللّه في دعة
So they compelled you by God’s power and united
From the pressure, if only you know, it erupted
بدون أن يرهقوا فيها وينضموا
بيتٌ حرام به الفعل الحرام يسن
These eyes, and were it not for God they would have gone blind
The Pharaoh of your time, if you were just, you would not have triumphed
وأنت راض كأن الضيم فيه حسن
كم غارة فيه تلقاء الحجيج تشن
And O descendants of Uthman, have you not connected
From him to you the contemptible traits and zeal
وليته فاسقا لم يرع حرمة من
في ذمة اللّه ضاعت عنده الذمم
Where are the conquests O descendants of warriors and who
Were the breakers in raids when they were waged
عون وأنت إذا عون لمكربهم
يزداد منك عتوا في تعذبهم
Where are the victories of that throne where are they buried
Where are the banners, masters of resolves who
هم أهل مكة أولى في تقربهم
كم استجاروا عليه فازدريت بهم
Were your ancestors the prey by justice made great
Your noble forefathers were the source of ambition
إن لم تكن ناقما فاللّه منتقم
بكف ظلمك من في الدرب تذبحه
They toured the realms of Arabs and non-Arabs
They served this religion from its origins
وتاج عثمان قد أوشكت تطرحه
أوتيت ملكا وقد آليت تصلحه
They established your lofty glory from the first steps
Then you came demolishing what they built and collected
رب الهلال أجب هل كنت تمنحه
ما اعتاد من نصرات ذلك العلم
You destroyed what they erected, scattered what they composed
You dug in us with the hands of injustice precipices
شتتت ملكا عظيما كان محترما
فرطته مسرفا وزعته كرما
Your years slipped with the steps of reform bloody
Your years were like old ill-omened mourning years
يا واهبا مصر والخضراء للغرما
ماذا قعلت بأحرار البلاد وما
You ruled us and even if you become detained
Hajjaj of your time, nay he who punishes without
جنوا على الدين والدنيا وما اجترموا
هم طالبوك بدستور كما أمرت
Sin and your assembly from it profits and grows
How many orphans did you make their tears flow
به الشريعة فاستنكرت ما شرعت
فلم تزل معرضا عن أمة منيت
The tears of orphans if you witnessed you would not have written
You exceeded the limit of tyranny in kings, so you transgressed
حتى قسمتهموا شطرين فانقسمت
على جسومهم النينانوالرخم
You invented forms of injustice and torture the likes of which they did not notice nor dream
You placed it as a trap, heavy surveillance
قضيت قهرا فيا لحكم طاغية
حكمت دهرا فيا لهول داهية
Among the people, and its pressure, what have you gained
O holder of the throne, yet through you the world is ashamed
ألقيتهم شذرا في كل هاوية
سرقت شملهم في كل ناحية
Caliph of God, you violated what He ordered
In the Sharia, Revelation, and the Word
فارغموك بحول الله والتأموا
من شدة الضغط لو تدري قد انفجرت
From east of the earth, if you know, to its west
The victims invoke against you in their fervor
هذي العيون ولولا اللّه لانطمست
فرعون عصرك لو أنصفت ما انتصفت
Kings have no right to subdue them
And the path of the Rightly Guided Caliphs in it
ويا سلالة عثمان أما اتصلت
منه إليك الصفات الغر والهممُ
Is best advice for oppressors, if they understand
Kingdoms have no standing fortress and no
أين الفتوحات يا نسل الغزاة ومن
كانوا الكواسر في الغارات حين تشن
Yulduz dam in it to misguide him
So say to him from the mouth that undoes his refuge
اين انتصارات ذلك العرش أين دفن
أين الغطاريف أرباب العزائم من
You rode the ship of tyranny, none accepts it
Of who succeeds him among his people’s idols
أسلافك الصيد من بالعدل قد عظموا
آباؤك الغر كانوا منبع الهمم
You revived among them discord, though they were secure
Replacing their good fortune and most miserable with sorrow
جابوا الممالك من عرب ومن عجم
قاموا بخدمة هذا الدين عن قدم
You emptied a great enduring kingdom never appraised for price
You destroyed your house, O you, so you are then
شادوا لك العزة القعساء من قدم
فجئت تهدم ما شادوا وما رسموا
Enemy of yourself, or touched by blames
You alienated every well-wisher, O king
كأنهم ويد الإسلام قابضة
عليهم الأسد في الآجام رابضة
You did not know that rule is shared
Until fate and destiny turned against you
وخيلهم في سبيل الله راكضة
كانت لهم دولة بالسيف ناهضة
You gathered a band of traitors, how much they shed
Then they exhausted, with neither pledge nor sin
وفي زمانك لا سيف ولا قلم
همُ الكواكب في آفاقتنا طلعوا
If Bosphorus could speak, in you its mouth
Would be a poem, all of it reproach
والشأن مرتفع والملك متسع
فجئتنا زحلا من بعدما هجعوا
And the essence of the saying and history a shrine
The loyal left you and fled
حصدت ما زرعوا فرقت ما جمعوا
هدمت ما رفعوا بعثرت ما نظموا
And the treacherous crowded your doors
The heart of the throne split from you and your
حفرت فينا بأيدي الظلمهاوية
زلت بها قدم الإصلاح دامية
Moment for the people approached, but for obstinacy you refused
Your nights grew long and blackened with what you earned
كانت سنيك عجوز النحس ناعية
ملكتنا فرأينا منك طاغية
You were excessive in pillaging the treasury thus you stole
From it for spies what they wanted and gained
لم يدر ندا له المشهود والقدم
دقات قلبك كالأجراس قد ضربت
They are your chosen party, you made their status great
You favored them, so their harshness intensified
فيها المخازي على نبراتها حسبت
تأججت فيك نار الفتك واضطرمت
A barrier of your palace you did not restrict sustaining them
A gang who weighed on the people and trampled them
نيرون عندك أو فرعون قد غفرت
زلاته واستحبت شاهها العجم
They deafened from the truth in their purposes and blinded
Around you they turned, and you are all who promised him
أيام حكمك أيام الشقاء فلا
أعادها اللّه كم ذقنا بها العللا
The vile opportunist, his vices are not hidden
They were rough, disdaining son and father
قد كنت فينا وإن أمسيت معتقلا
حجاج عصرك بل تولى العقاب بلا
You chose them, and a man’s choices testify of him
Would that they were gentle with people or had mercy
ذنب ومزّاك عنه الجمع والنهم
كم من يتيم على خديه قد سكبت
They refused to guide you, and who can comprehend delusion
Leader of misguidance, the court and in it
مدامع اليتم لو شاهدت ما كتبت
جاوزت حد عتاة في الملوك طغت
That entourage, people without honor
They betrayed you when they saw from you betrayal in
قد اخترعت ضروبا للمظالم والت
نكيل ما فطنوا فيها ولا حلموا
Your children, and man is branded just as he is marked
You trained them so criminality intensified
نصبتها الفخ جاسوسية ثقلت
في الناس وطأتها ماذا عليك جنت
You involved them in crime so they became intertwined
You exceeded in injustice so its roads convulsed
يا صاحب العرش والدنيا بك انخجلت
خليفة الله قد خالفت ما أمرت
You imprisoned your family until some of them perished
As if they were neither kin nor womb
به الشريعة والتنزيل والكلم
من مشرق الأرض لو تدري لمغربها
This, your heart, became like steel, so hardened
And you were concealed, not displaying insight
تدعو عليك الضحايا في تلهبّها
ما للسلاطين حق في تغلبها
You erased what was written and preserved
You tried to extinguish the light of truth but it flickers
وسيرة الخلفاء الراشدين بها
خير المواعظ للظلام لو فهمو
Its mouths flare if any mouth is barred
During your rule Derdanel, say, and restraint
ما للممالك حصن قائم وله
في يلدز سد يأجوج يضلّله
They escaped and you escaped with the vessels fleeing
Inside it complains of you, outside denounces you
فقل له عن لسان فك معقله
ركبت مركب جورليس يقبله
The time was long upon the injustice you treat
And the creation despaired and boredom took hold
ممن يخلفه في قومه الصنم
أحييت فيهم وكانوا الآمنين فتن
You secluded yourself, O formidable, thus you secluded
From you the truth until it clarified so emerged
مستبدلا بشرهم واتعسهم بحزن
أخليت ملكا فخيما لم يقس بثمن
You wronged your people in the constitution so they triumphed
Thus your affairs in the land remained, so widened
دمرت بيتك يا هذا فأنت إذن
عدو نفسك أو قد مسك اللمم
And man welcomes what his fortune contains of pain
Your qualities among people and character appeared
أقصيت كل نصوح أيها الملك
ما كنت تعلم أن الحكم مشترك
Ruin and crushing upon the ill-omened and crushed
The free came to you in formation
حتى استدار عليك الدهر والفلك
حشدت زمرة غدارين كم سفكوا
Nearly spent their lives sincerely loving their nation
To serve them the sword and the pen
فاستنزفوا ثم لا قيدوا ولا غرموا
لو كان ينطق للبسفور فيك فم
Hail to those estimable spirits and ambition
Long they lingered in your miserable rule
كان الكلام قصيدا كله رمم
ومجمل القول والتاريخ محترم
A dormant fire the wickedness in it denies
Your wind blows but they did not heed it
المخلصون تولوا منك وانهزموا
والخائنون على أبوابك ازدحموا
And whenever your gang slept they awoke
They plan and even if you notice them they are bold
انشق منك فؤاد العرش واقتربت
للناس ساعته لولا الأباة أبت
How much you tried to tempt them with wealth and their
Pride refused to undo their bond
طالت لياليك فاسودت بما اكتسبت
أسرفت في نهب بيت المال فاستلبت
They will never cease while the constitution is their request
And when their preparation to leap was complete
منه الجواسيس ما شاؤوا وما غنموا
هم حزبك المنتقى جلت مكانتهم
They entrusted and deliberated with what they resolved
They came protecting you in squadrons
أدنيتهم منك فاشتدت قساوتهم
حجاب قصرك لم تجحد رعايتهم
The organs of the living flew lightened
They tore through the earth’s orbit quaking
عصابة ثقلت في الناس وطأتهم
صموا عن الحق في أغراضهم وعموا
They let loose upon you swords of justice sharpened
As if they were shooting stars in the horizon or meteorites
بك استداروا وكل أنت واعدهُ
والطامع النذل لا تخفى مفاسده
The earth shook from their earthquake and purely
Collapsed the Yulduz lowered with them folded
كانوا غلاظا يشء بالابن والده
اخترتهم واختيار المرء شاهده
What a scream that shuddered violently unleashed
They tore in the darkness of night a slit
يا ليتهم رفقوا بالخلق أو رحموا
أبوا هداك وما أدراك بالحشف
The earth smiled at it and the injustice in it birthed darkness
God aids the oppressed against his oppressor
أبو الضلال ومن يحوي البلاط وفي
تلك البطانة أقوام بلا شرف
One like you, O tyrant, does not attain His mercies
The people freed you, you are not their ruler today
خانوك لما رأوا منك الخيانة في
بنيك والمرء موسوم كما يسم
And they tried you to the shattering and contended
They returned to their homeland, welcome is their return
أتقنت دربتهم فاستفحل الدرك
أشركتهم في ارتكاب الجرم فاشتبكوا
They founded their features and rose in their aid
They nearly undid those who schemed to destroy their nation
بالغت في العسف فارتجت له السكك
حبست آلك حتى بعضهم هلكوا
So they sacrificed themselves loving their nation
Long live those estimable characters and zeal
كأنما لم تكن قربى ولا رحم
هذا فؤادك كالفولاذ قد غلظا
And long live in us our glory and lights
And let our banner rise high and our pulpit tower
وكنت محتجبا لم تبد ملتحظا
نسخت ما كان مزبورا ومحتفظا
What occurred has occurred and history records us
What occurred has occurred and the Merciful aids us
حاولت إطفاء نور الحق وهو لظى
تثور أفواهه إن سد منه فم
Justice is triumphant and injustice routed
Today you became, my patron, attentive
في عهدك الدردنيل قل والجه
فروا وفرت مع الساري بوارجه
From the stupor which displayed what was ambiguous
After eras and my proximity in drawing near it
يشكوك داخله يهجوك خارجه
طال الزمان على جور تعالجه
You plotted an evil strife to regain through it
From your invalidated glory the misleading pomp
وعيل صبر الورى واستحوذ السأم
حجبت نفسك يا رعديد فاحتجبت
O violator of covenant, to restore what you seized
The free of your afflicted nation, with what you earned
عنك الحقيقة حتى بنت فانكشفت
ظلمت قومك في الدستور فانتصرت
A long rule in which your errors became well known
Great glory folded in intense darkness
فبقت دارتهم في الأرض فاتسعت
والمرء مستبل إن حظه الألم
Then it cleared, thus what was beneath it became a cyst
Never expecting that truth in you would see
شاهت صفاتك في خلق وفي خلق
تبا وسحقا لمنحوس ومنسحق
Or that we feed your autocracy rocks
Until they rebelled like sparks supporting the pot
للّه وافوك أحرارا على نسق
قد جمع الظلم منهم كل مفترق
They split with it the robes of darkness a glow
The earth smiled at it and injustice in it birthed gloom
وشدما استتروا في الأمر واكتتموا
في عهد دولتك التعساء قد لبثوا
God seizes the oppressed from his oppressor
One like you, O tyrant, does not attain His mercies
نارا مرمدة ينفى بها الخبث
تهب ريحك لكن ما بها اكترثوا
The people freed you, you are not their ruler today
And tried you to shattering, so they contended
وكلما نام عنهم رهطك انبعثوا
يدبرون وإن لاحظتهم جشموا
They returned to their home, welcome is their return
They founded their features and aided in their victory
كم كنت بالمال تغويهم ونخوتهم
تأبى عليهم أن تنحل عقدتهم
They nearly undid those who schemed against their nation
So they sacrificed themselves loving their nation
فلن يزالوا وفي الدستور طلبتهم
وعندما اكتملت للوثب عدتهم
Long live those estimable characters and zeal
And long live in us our glories and lights
توكلوا واستخروا بالذي عزموا
أموا حماك على الطيار مزحفة
And let our banners rise high and our pulpits tower
What occurred has occurred, and history records us
جوارح الحي قد طارت مخففة
شقوا عليك طباق الأرض مرجفة
What occurred has occurred, and the Merciful aids us
Justice is triumphant and injustice routed
سلوا عليك سيوف العدل مرهفة
كأنها شهُب في الأفق أو رجُم
Today you became, my patron, attentive
From the drunkenness which revealed what was ambiguous
ارتجت الأرض من زلزالهم فرقا
فانقض يلدز منحطا بهم طبقا
After eras and my proximity in drawing near it
You plotted an evil strife to regain through it
فيا لها صيحة شوكت لها انطلقا
شقوا بها في جلابيب الدجى شفقا
From your invalidated glory the misleading pomp
O violator of covenant, to retake what you seized
بشت له الأرض وانجابت به الظلم
اللّه يأخذ بالمظلوم ظالمه
The free of your afflicted nation, with what you earned
A long rule in which your errors became well known
لا نال مثلك يا طاغي مراحمه
الشعب حرر لست اليوم حاكمه
Great glory folded in intense darkness
Then it cleared, so what was beneath it became an abscess
وطالبوك بحق كنت هاضمه
وحاكموك الى البتار واختصموا
You never expected truth in you to be seen
Or that we feed your autocracy rocks
عادوا لموطنهم أهلا بعودتهم
شادوا معالمهم قاموا بنصرتهم
Until they rebelled like pot shards supporting the pot
They tore with it robes of darkness a flare
كادوا بمن كاد أن يردي بملتهم
فادروا بأرواحهم حبا بأمتهم
The earth smiled at it as injustice birthed in it gloom
God takes the oppressed from his oppressor
فلتحي تلك السجايا الغر والهمم
وليحي فينا نيازينا وأنورنا
One like you, O tyrant, does not attain His mercy
The people freed you, you're not their ruler today
ولتعل رايتنا وليرق منبرنا
قد كان ما كان والتاريخ يذكرنا
And tried you to shattering, having contended
Go, as your detention pleased, resigned
قد كان ما كان والرحمن ناصرنا
فالعدل منتصر والجور منهزم
And forget controlling, ruling, and craving
Deem sin great and dread it intensely
اليوم أصبحت يا مولاي منتبها
من سكرة أظهرت ما كان مشتبها
In your descent rule again lofty rose
And in your demise, all creation secured
بعد العهود وزلفى في تقربها
دبرت فتنة سوء تستعيد بها
In your state banners drooped despondent
As if they never clove the horizon in despair
من مجدك الباطل الغرار ما هدموا
يا ناكث العهد لاسترداد ما استلبت
Your misery refused except to oppose
As if with your fortunes the planets frowned
أحرار أمته الغرآ بما كسبت
حكم طويل به زلاتك اشتهرت
And you were obscured, displaying no insight
You wronged your people in the constitution, so they triumphed
مجد كبير طوته ظلمة كثفت
ثم انجلت فاذا ما تحتها ورم
Thus your affairs in the land spread out
And man welcomes what his fortune contains of sorrow
ما ظن يوما بأن الحق فيك يرى
أو أنّنا نلقم استبدادك الحجرا
Your traits among people and character appeared
Disgrace and crushing upon the ill-omened and cracked
حتى اتثاروا كماة تعضد القدرا
كروا بعزمة حر جاء منتصرا
The free came to you in formation
Almost spent their lives loving their nation
لنفسه واستباحوا منك ما احترموا
كنت الخليفة في الاسلام متحرما
To serve them the sword and the pen
Hail those spirits and ambition
وكان فيك دهاء أعجز الحكما
لاذوا بمغناك فاستنكف منتقما
Long they lingered in your wretched rule
A dormant fire, with it wickedness denied
فأنزلوك عن العرش الرفيع وما
كانوا يريدونها لكنهم رغموا
Your wind blew but they did not heed
And whenever your gang slept, they awoke
هي العدالة تأبى أن تلاحظها
ما كان أعذبها لو كنت لافظها
They plan, and if you notice them they're bold
How much you tried tempting them with wealth and their
وحيث لم تستمع فينا مواعظها
تأبى الشريعة أن تبقيك حافظها
Pride refused to loosen their bond
They'll never cease while the constitution's their request
وأنت بالغدر والإغواء متّهم
ذق ما أذقتهمو من لوعة وشجن
And when for the leap their preparation was complete
They entrusted and deliberated what they resolved
روح كروحك من أرهقتهم وبدن
كم قبل سجنك من حرلديك سجن
Protecting you squadrons came
Organs of the living flew lightened
فاليوم تعلم عقبى من يخون ومن
يطغى وتندم إذ لا ينفع الندم
They tore through the earth's orbits quaking
They let loose on you swords of justice sharpened
اللّه أكبر جل اللّه مقتدرا

Collapsed the Yulduz lowered with them folded
What a scream that shook and violently unleashed
كصخرة حطّها من شاهق عرم
كن باعتقالك يا مغرور مقتنعا
They tore in night's darkness a fissure
The earth smiled at it as injustice birthed in it gloom
وانس التسيطر وانس الحكم والطمعا
واستعظم الذنب واستغر له جزعا
ففي هبوطك عاد الملك مرتفعا
وفي هلاكك كل الخلق قد سلموا
كانت بدولتك الرايات ناكسة
كأنما لم تشق الأفق مائسة
أبت تعاستكم إلا معاكسة
كانت باقبالك الأقدار عابسة
فأصبحت بعدما أدبرت تبتسم
