1. استقبلوا وجه الحجاز وسيما

    واستنشقوا روح الاله نسيما

    Welcome the handsome face of the Hejaz, and inhale the spirit of God as a gentle breeze.

    The sea is calm, resembling a lush garden to the eye, and the air is clear, smooth as the surface of glass.

  2. البحر رهو كالخميلة منظرا

    والجو صحو كالزجاج أديما

    The Muslims bid farewell, with yearning souls, to a caravan most righteous and noble.

    And the Spirit beneath the Throne asks his Lord to protect the caravan, that it may return safe and sound.

  3. والمسلمون يودعون بأنفس

    مشتاقة ركبا أبر كريما

    The House awaits the pilgrims with a welcome, preparing a magnificent lodging for their arrival.

    O procession that answered the call of its God, and the call of Muhammad and his forefather Abraham,

  4. والروح تحت العرش يسأل ربه

    للركب حفظا أو يؤوب سليما

    You shall perform Hajj under God's care and shadow, at a House mighty and ancient among all houses.

    Messengers and angels have circumambulated it, and the virtuous of creation have pitched their tents there.

  5. والبيت يرتقب الحجيج مرحبا

    ويعد نزلا للحجيج عظيما

    From it, the blessed guidance of God first shone forth, and upon it, God's all-encompassing pleasure descended.

    Enter the sacred state before arrival, chanting 'Here I am,' for how often has it sheltered the oppressed upon their arrival.

  6. يا موكبا لبى نداء إلاهه

    ومحمد وأبيه إبراهيما

    Drive the sacrificial offering before you as a sacred rite, intending thereby to glorify and magnify God.

    And when you reach Dhu Tuwa, rise and bathe, then enter from Kada' in humility and reverence.

  7. ستحج في كنف الالاه وظله

    بيتا عزيزا في البيوت قديما

    For there stands the House to whose majesty all creation submits, both master and servant.

    Glorify God, circumambulate the House touching the Stone, and stand behind the Station to offer prayer.

  8. الرسل والأملاك طافوا حوله

    والطيبون من البرية خيما

    Then go early to Safa and Marwa, exerting yourself to the utmost in the course of the striving.

    Hasten your pace like Hagar, the day she left her son cast down, ailing from severe thirst,

  9. منه استهل هدى الاله مباركا

    وعليه حل رضى الاله عميما

    Until God caused an abundant spring to flow, honoring the son of the Friend and his wife.

    Attend when the Imam delivers the sermon, and listen with deep understanding to the exhortations he offers.

  10. أحرم له قبل النزول ملبيا

    فلكم حمى عند النزول مضيما

    Descend at Mina, then depart to witness the Standing, where the Hajj appears magnificent to all creation.

    Arafat is the appointed time for prayer, so ask there of a Lord who has guaranteed to answer supplication.

  11. واستق اليه الهدي دونك مشعرا

    واقصد به التكبير والتعظيما

    He called His servants there to receive His gifts; whoever fails to answer is denied the bounty and suffers loss.

    And when you press on to Muzdalifa, seek the sacred site where those like you have sought to stand before.

  12. واذا وصلت لذي طوى قم فاغتسل

    وادخل ذليلا من كداء حشيما

    Proceed to the open grounds to gather pebbles, and with them cast stones at a cursed Satan there.

    Until, having completed your Hajj by sacrificing and shaving, you circumambulate in praise of the completion.

  13. فهنالك البيت الذي لجلاله

    عنت الخلائق سيدا وخديما

    And drink deep from Zamzam, a heavenly draught like honey, mixed with the waters of Tasnim.

    Then journey towards Medina, for it was a sanctuary and a sacred precinct for Muhammad.

  14. كبر وطف بالبيت مستلما وقف

    خلف المقام لركعتيه مقيما

    Visit the Messenger and his two companions in a mosque that flourishes with freshness and bliss like a garden.

    Mercies descend abundantly into its courtyards, and fragrant scents spread everywhere.

  15. والى الصفا والمروة أغد مجشما

    في المسعى نفسك جهدها تجشيما

    Say to those who seek Medina as a quenching spring, bringing to it souls wandering in love:

    "Greet therein the Ansar in their resting places, and send upon the Messenger a greeting of peace,"

  16. واخبب كهاجر يوم خلفت ابنها

    ملقى من الظمإ الشديد سقيما

    "And upon those who emigrated with him to it, after they had been subjected to humiliation and scarring."

    "They swallowed the bitterness of affliction and harm in Mecca, and endured starvation and long suffering."

  17. فاذا الاله يدر عينا ثرة

    لابن الخليل وزوجه تكريما

    God does not neglect a good deed; their memory remains near, though their bodies have long since departed.

    Ask the Sacred House about them, for it witnessed their struggle and knew them well at the Conquest.

  18. واحضر اذا خطب الامام فكن لما

    يلقى الامام من العظات فهيما

    They returned to it, and the rites of its Hajj were restored, pure and authentic to the true faith.

    Who will grant the distant exile the chance to circle it, to reach Medina as a visitor and remain?

  19. وانزل منى وارحل لتشهد موقفا

    للخلق يبدو الحج فيه فخيما

    The waves of destiny have cast him into a homeland like a barren wilderness, where he lives in sorrow.

    Longing gave wings to his heart so it soared, while hardship shattered his body completely.

  20. عرفات ميعاد الدعاء فسل بها

    ربا بتلبية الدعاء زعيما

    O Mecca—your name is the best of all cities when called, and the sweetest on the tongue.

    Do the pilgrims within you know why they have met, for what purpose they came rushing, and to what end?

  21. نادى العباد لها لنيل هباته

    من لم يجب حرم الهبات وليما

    Truly, He who ordained these duties for them was, in truth, and ever remains Wise.

    Hajj is the magnified symbol of brotherhood; Hajj is the upright path of loyalty.

  22. فاذا ازدلفت فرم هنالك مشعرا

    لوقوف مثلك فيه قبلك ريما

    Hajj is a school of mutual recognition built by the Lord of mankind, who directs its teachings.

    Say to those from Algeria who have firmly packed their saddles, bound for the Hejaz,

  23. واعمد الى الساحات فالتقط الحصى

    وبها ارم شيطانا هناك رجيما

    Those who ride iron beasts to reach it, and wade through the pitch-black darkness:

    Deliver a greeting to the people of the Hejaz, and convey a pure, inscribed salutation of peace.

  24. حتى اذا أتممت حجك ناحرا

    ومحلقا طف تحمد التتميما

    God has united us through Islam since ancient times, and made our lands one singular realm.

    Yesterday we were victorious over our enemies, forcing their noses into the dust.

  25. وانهل بزمزم نهلة عدنية

    كالشهد كان مزاجها تسنيما

    Today, having lost our glory, we strive to regain that glory and fellowship.

    If you aspire to great heights in your desires, then you must undertake great deeds to reach them.

  26. ثم ارتحل صوب المدينة إنها

    لمحمد كانت حمى وحريما

    Quicken your steps toward glory and walk its path, even if the path to glory be a blazing fire.

    Had Moses feared destruction upon the Mount, he would never have become the Interlocutor of God.

  27. فزر الرسول وصاحبيه بمسجد

    كالروض رف نضارة ونعيما

    O nation that has suffered at the hands of some of its shepherds, and endured painful torment from them:

    Seek liberation and call for reform; do not seek mere office or hunt for decorations.

  28. تتنزل الرحمات في ساحاته

    غدقا وتنتشر الطيوب شميما

    He is no true leader who furrows faces with his slaps, even if such blows were to humble noses.

    True security lies in trusting your Lord with pure intention, and adhering to His Quran as your judge.

  29. قل للمريدين المدينة منهلا

    الموردين بها نفوسا هيما

    For He is the Helper who guides the nations, and the Clement who encompasses all sins in mercy.

  30. حيوا بها الأنصارفي أجداثهم

    وعلى الرسول فسلموا تسليما

  31. وعلى الألى معه إليها هاجروا

    من بعد ما سيموا الهوان وسيما

  32. وتجرعوا البلوى بمكة والأذى

    وتحملوا التجويع والتأويما

  33. لا يهمل الله الصنيع فذكرهم

    دان وأن نأت الجسوم قديما

  34. سل عنهم البيت الحرام فإنه

    ببلائهم في الفتح كان عليما

  35. عادوا اليه فعاد مظهر حجه

    محضا من الدين الحنيف صميما

  36. من للقصي بأن يطوف به وأن

    يرد المدينة زائرا فيقيما

  37. نبذته أمواج القضاء بموطن

    مثل العراء فعاش فيه مليما

  38. الشوق جنح قلبه فسما به

    والضر حطم جسمه تحطيما

  39. يا مك واسمك خير أسماء القرى

    عند الندا وألذها ترخيما

  40. هل يعلم الحجاج فيك لم التقوا

    وعلام جاءوا ينسلون وفيما؟

  41. إن الذي فرض الفروض عليهم

    بالحق كان ولن يزال حكيما

  42. الحج عنوان الاخاء مكبرا

    الحج منهاج الولاء قويما

  43. الحج مدرسة التعارف شادها

    رب الورى وأدارها تعليما

  44. قل للذين من الجزائر حزموا

    صوب الحجاز رحالهم تحزيم

  45. الراكبين له الحديد بهيمة

    والخائضين له الظلام بهيما

  46. أدوا الى أهل الحجاز تحية

    وأقروا سلاما زاكيين رقيما

  47. الله بالإسلام ألف بيننا

    قدما ووحد أرضنا إقليما

  48. بالأمس كنا ظاهرين على العدى

    ومرغمين أنوفهم ترغيما

  49. واليوم نسعى بعد فقد فخارنا

    أن نستعيد فخارنا ونديما

  50. واذا رغبت الى جسيم في المنى

    فاركب اليه من الأمور جسيما

  51. حث الخطى للعز واسلك نهجه

    ولو أن نهج العز كان جحيما

  52. لو خاف موسى أن يحل به ردى

    في الطور لم يك للإلاه كليما

  53. يا أمة شقيت ببعض رعاتها

    وتحملت منه العذاب أليما

  54. إبغي التحرر وانشدي الاصلاح لا

    تبغي (الوظيف) وتنشدي التوسيما

  55. ما ساد من فلح الوجوه بكفه

    لطما ولو نفع الأنوف لطيما

  56. الأمن أن تثقي بربك نية

    وتشايعي قرانه تحكيما

  57. فهو الذي يزع الشعوب مساعدا

    وهو الذي يسع الذنوب حليما
