اذكريـني كلمـا قد
جَنَّ لـيلٌ مكـفهرُّ
Remember me whenever
a pitch-black night descends,
خلف غَيْبٍ كنتُ أبدو
تــائهاً لا أستـقرُّ
behind an absence where I seemed
to wander aimlessly, unable to settle.
في سكون الفجر أعدو
ذَيْـلَ خَيْباتٍ أجـرُّ
In the stillness of dawn I race
the train of disappointments I drag.
كيف أمشي في اتجاهٍ
دائما لي فـيه شـرُّ
How can I walk in a direction
that always holds evil for me?
أيُّ حقـدٍ بَعْدَ حبٍّ
غـير مسبوق أُقِـرُّ
What malice after a love
so unprecedented do I admit?
هل أنا في الحظ نَحْسٌ
لستُ أدري،ذاك سرُّ
Am I unlucky in fate?
I do not know, that is the mystery.
ياحبيب العمر أسرعْ
إنَّ عمري قـد يفـرُّ
O beloved of a lifetime, hurry,
for my lifetime may soon flee.
