ما أَحسن الغيرة في حينها

وأَقبح العيرة في كل حين

How beautiful is jealousy at the right time

And how ugly is accusation at all times

من لم يزل متهما عرسه

مناصباً فيها لوهم الظنون

He who has remained suspecting his marriage

Appointing in it the delusions of suspicions

يوشك ان يغريها بالَّذي

يَخاف أَو ينصبها للعيون

Is about to be tempted by what

He fears or makes it for the eyes

حسبك من تحصينها ضمها

منك الى خلق كريم ودين

It is enough for you to protect her, embrace her

From you to an honorable nature and religion

لا تظهرن منك على عورة

فيتبع المقرون حبل القرين

Do not show from you her defects
