يَا بْنَ الَّذِي رَهَنَ الْخَمَّارَ سُبْحَتَهُ
يَوْمَ الْعرُوبَةِ في عَدِّ الْقَوارِيرِ
O son of him who pawned his robe
The day he counted the jugs of wine
مَا زَالَ يَشْرَبُ خَمْرَاً غَيْرَ مُدَّكِرٍ
إِثْمَاً وَيَأْكُلُ سُحْتَاً غَيْرَ مَنْحُورِ
He kept on drinking sinful wine unmindfully
And eating pork unlawfully
حَتَّى إِذَا نَالَ مِنْهُ السُّكْرُ قَامَ إِلَى
فَيَّاضَةِ الْقَرْءِ لَمْ تُعْهَدْ بِتَطْهِيرِ
Until drunk, he went to
The innocent girl unsullied
فَكُنْتَ نُطْفَةَ سُوءٍ قَدْ تَعَجَّلَهَا
دَاعِي الْغَوَايَةِ مِنْ خَمْرٍ وَخَنْزِيرِ
You were an evil germ hastened
By the caller to debauchery with wine and pork
