أَيَا مَلِكَاً هَمَتْ كَفَّاهُ جُودَاً
عَلَى الثَّقَلَيْنِ مِنْ بَادِ وَقَارِي
O king, whose two hands rain down generosity
Upon both races—humankind and jinn—wandering and settled alike,
عَرَاكَ النِّيلُ مِنْ بَلَدٍ بَعِيدٍ
فَأَلْبِسْهُ الْكَرَامَةَ فَهْوَ عَارِي
The Nile has come to you from a distant land;
So clothe him in honor, for he stands bare.
