Blame not a lover if love makes him pine,

And leave him be, for he has no control.

Passion is not to be thwarted by guile,

It simply bends a man against his will.

One who willingly commits a sin,

Is not the same as one compelled therein.

When a man finally admits to his wrong,

What use is his opponent's spiteful song?
