ما عاتَبَ الحُرَّ الكَريمَ كَنَفسِهِ

وَالمَرءُ يُصلِحُهُ الجَليسُ الصالِحُ

Nothing reproaches the noble freeman like his own soul,

And a man is set right by a righteous companion.
